First he turns down a televised fight against Antwaan Echols on ESPN's FNF ... now he's turned down a Showtime fight against Andre Dirrell ... I seen that it was mutual but i'm thinking what way to bounce back into title contention than to take on a former US olympic medalits? This guy is killing his career fast ... Good idea on Team Dirrell to go after a top 10 ranked opponent ... Shame on Green for turning down yet another televised bout ... Is Green ruining his career? ... I mean he hasn't even got a title shot yet ... and hasn't been looking good as of late (always looking down at feet all the damn time) What do you guys think?
That is the first thing I think of when I think about Green That and him running from Miranda, christ sake :-(
I think he is one of Greg Leon fighters now. Which is a advisor, so maybe he advised him not to fight Dirrel now, because Andre would be all in tht ass. But I wouild like to see him and Miranda rematch
Whats up with this guy ... does he think he's better than what he actually is or does he think that he's earned his way into a title shot already? He doesn't seem comfortable with fighting outside of OK ...
I tell you something, he's a better pundit than boxer He talks a lot of sense, until he starts talking about himself. I remember him analysing Hopkins-Calzaghe, and he thought Hopkins would win. Then he said he'd likely beat Calzaghe, Kessler, Pavlik all these guys :nut
That guy would get crushed by the 168 elite ... i'm wondering if he would take a bout with Andre Ward? ... I know that there have been rumors before about the two fighting each other ... and Ward v Miranda.
Yeah he will make a great expert commenator for HBO, thats for sure. But yeah he is tripping on the ruling SMW
The proposed fight between Green v Dirrell was going to take place in Green's backyard ... why wouldn't he want that ... a former Olympic medalist ... on his way up ... and in your hometown.
I don't think he's a guy in love with the sport, at least not competing himself. He talks a good game. He doesn't look like he enjoys it in there. He's a classic case of athlete first boxer second The way he ran against Miranda, unnaturally looks at his feet like he never even boxed before and turns down fights point blank are tell tale signs
