Puerto Ricans are NOT US citizens. Berto is NOT the best the US has to offer, not even in his own weight class. When fighters take tough fights, there is a chance they will lose. Most Americans fighters don't follow the Mayweather blueprint for staying udefeated.

Plus, not every fighter can hang out in Europe or Canada and fight tomato cans forever.

This is the most geographically incorrect, asnine thread I've ever read. Seriously on the intellectual level of "what does floored mean," but without the knowledge a fourth grader would have regarding boundaries and citizenship.

It's obvious you don't like America much. Go be a "filipino" in the Philipines. I'll chip in the first $100 for your one way ticket, and I'm sure many on here will match my donation. Just make sure we shred your American ids before you get on that plane.

:patsch:patsch this has nothing to do with being anti americans. Why are you so sensitive? :-( I'm just pointing out that 3 boxers this year have loss after all the hype.

This is boxing . . . HYPES don't work all the time . . . fighters got to prove it inside the ring.

They loss their "0" but it doesn't mean it's the end of their careers . . . too early to pass judgement.

no comment on this thread because we still have the best fighters ever and most foreign fighters don't make as much money fighting in their own country. Ask PAC.

None of these three have been "exposed". Each have suffered a setback in their career, a very surmountable one at that.

Yours is exactly the perspective that is ruining boxing. Attitudes like yours deter promoters from matching their fighters hard. If things continue as they are and more people look at fighters as you do we will soon arrive at a situation where super fights and unifications never happen since the potential reputational damage dealt to the loser of such a fight would prevent these fights from being viable.

It's really important that people accept an unbeaten record for what it really is, an interim condition on a fighter's path to fulfilling their potential.

Berto has no fan base. He can't put 500 people in a 25,000 seat arena in his hometown.

Devon has not much of a fan base outside of St. Louis either. I went to the Bradley vs Alexander fight at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mi and their was more media people there than fight fans, dam near!
