The officials and Wilders team were obviously all in on it. Everyone conspired against Deontay. It was the only way that Team Bum Dosser Fury could level the playing field with such a superior boxer...
Yeah, Smith's a great guy and he's standing by his principles even though he's been subjected to some utterly vile albeit totally predictable abuse from those scumbags for doing so. I've had plenty of dealings those clowns and they're pure cancer.
Well, I meant the rivalry moreso than Glovegate. A contract's a contract, and both guys had the option to do it a third time, so I don't resent Wilder his rematch – I also don't think he should be taken lightly just because he was wiped out (Fury needs to maintain that level of focus, and I believe he will) – but it will be good to see Tyson move on to something else, given that he really should have been 2-0 up already.
If Spencer was the only professional boxer/trainer making this argument, then yeah you could dismiss what he says. As it is, there are several of them, all of whom know more about boxing than either of us. However, dismissing him based solely on the fact he's 20 is basically a logic fallacy. It's an appeal to ridicule. Maybe people can try actually debunking what he says instead of just writing him off because of his age? Have You ever gotten hit in the face with a bony palm or the inside of a knuckle? Hurts like hell.
Fury's positive PED tests greatly outweigh this alleged glove incident. Team Wilder has the right to inspect the gloves, and usually someone in the corner signs off on the gloves. Maybe they were below standards, but his team should have known that. I think Wilder's just being a poor looser. The ring outfit was too heavy. Fury;s gloves weren't; right. How about Wilder couldn't take a solid punch in round three and couldn't recover from it?
Bootleg D after being cracked in his face and about his head with bare fists for 12 rounds from a 260lb + professional HW boxer “I can’t tell you any rounds where I felt like I was threatened by his power,” Wilder said on a conference call. “He has pillows as fists. That’s how soft they were. Maybe my adrenaline was too high to feel anything. Sometimes after a fight you feel sore. But even after the fight I didn’t feel anything. “I took all his punches, the ones he landed, and I walked right through them. So I don’t respect none of his power. “He’s just a tall big man that can move around the ring. And that’s about it. As far as power, there’s none there.” Power outage Fury has switched trainers for next week’s rematch, bringing in Javan “Sugarhill” Steward in a move he hopes will boost his knockout power. Wilder, however, is unimpressed by the changes in Fury’s corner. “I don’t believe he’ll be able to develop (power), no matter what trainer he brings in,” Wilder said. “You just don’t develop power in a couple of weeks... it’s impossible.”
Ishe Smith has already debunked it... the vast majority of fighters and professionals are saying this is a dumb conspiracy
Cunningham has an axe to grind about Fury. So that leaves Spencer that I know of. Sugar Shay > Joey. Who are the others (can't say I've paid excessive attention to the squabbles)? He was speaking in logical fallacy, i.e. like a stereotypical dumb kid, hence the throwaway wisecrack you've taken particular exception to. Well, I since presented the thoughts of a more experienced man than Joey, and (highlighting his logical fallacy) I pointed out that the innuendos predate Fury's recent Kronk stint. The nose that's overdue some plastic surgery (not least because I'd like to breathe through it properly again) can tell me about being hit in various ways.
It's always funny to hear Paulie speak. It's his fault I post on here as I first heard of ESB in when he was speaking about reading the boards to gauge fan opinion in an interview.
I had no idea he read these boards or at least used to. I wonder if he's ever read any of my posts slating him lol
It was around when he was calling for a unification fight with Hatton and was complaining that a lot of people on the boards thought he was going to get beaten handily. He was then beaten pretty throughly in that fight.
