Gamboas's problem wrong division he's too short for 135 he must stay in 126 or 130 max.

He is good. He has good attributes.

He gets dropped way too often by sub par competition to call him elite. I don't how he will manage against actual elite opponents.

Gamboa is still Gamboa but he's clearly in the wrong weight class due to his height and his inability to infight. He will run into serious problems if he stays at 135 and tries to acquire a legit belt.

The jury is still out on Gamboa. He's got talent but needs to step up in competition and fight a Burns, Abril or Vasquez @ 135. I think he can go up to 140 if it doesn't effect his speed too much.

Brother, don't get me wrong. I don't like talking bad about our Cuban fighters specially about our top three Gamboa, Rigo and Lara. But the truth is that he looked horrible, no speed, no combos, no determination and no game plan.

It's very possible that he was just taking it easy in his first fight at 135 lbs ( testing the waters ) and that's why he didn't want to explode on his opponent. I will give him the benefit of this theory but the thing is that he is losing fans by fighting like that. :-(

He needs to understand that this is not the amateurs where a win is what counts ( and doesn't matter how he looks ) as in the pros the fans want much more. Yes, he beat a top undefeated fighter, grabbed the Interim Title and did it in his first fight at 135 pounds while still being rusty and I praise him for that.

He just better step it up in his next fights and he better fight every 2-3 months to get rid of all that ring rust. Believe me, it hurts me talking like this about him as he and Rigo are the pride of all Cubans.

    God Bless you mi amigo.

    :good

I think he can still get careless and that may cause him to get KO's soon..I think he has to use his smarts and patience a tad more.
