They gave Golota a statue in Poland sort of similar to Rocky Balboa's in Philly.

Minto showed up Clubber Lang style, and issued a challenge. Golota was willing but his trainer said he was leaving if he fought him :-( And that was the end of that.

    (ahem)..........

I would also like to hear what Golota's future plans are. Last I read, was that King was planning on having Golota fight in China in November. Against whom, is what I'd like to know.

It is on Boxrec, for whatever that's worth.

Polish newspapers say that Golota will fight Shannon Briggs in China on November

Niedługo pana powinniśmy zobaczyć w Chinach. Podobno szykuje się walka Gołota-Briggs w Szanghaju?
Też tak słyszałem? Ale na cholerę mi te Chiny? Leci się dwa dni. Szkoda czasu.
No ale chyba Don King odpowiednio zapłaci za taką walkę?
    „Dziadek”? Więcej mówi niż płaci.
    To co z tymi Chinami?
Coś tam „Dziadek” rzucił, lecę do niego w niedzielę, to wszystko się wyjaśni. Najpierw jednak powalczę w Polsce. Zacząłem już sparingi. Za miesiąc będę w kraju.
    Z kim ta walka?
Nie wiem jeszcze. Na razie sparuję z takim małym Murzynem. Wygląda jak Tyson, ale bije słabiej. Mówią na niego Terry.
Kiedy więc powalczy pan o mistrzostwo świata?
Spokojnie. Najpierw przylecę do Polski. Chyba do Wrocławia. Miesiąc później mam bić się w Chinach. No i po tych walkach „Dziadek” ma mi zorganizować pojedynek o jakiś pas. Muszę go wreszcie zdobyć.

We should see you in China soon. There are rumours that Golota-Briggs is going to take place in Shanghai?
A.G I also heard that. But why the hell China? It's a two day flight. Waste of time.

But Don King is going to pay for that fight?
A.G "Grandpa" was saying something about it, I'll meet him sunday and everything will be clear. First i have to fight in Poland. I've already started sparing. I'll be in Poland next month.

Who are you going to fight?
A.G I don't know yet. Now I'm sparring with some little black guy. He looks like Tyson but he punches weaker. They call him Terry.

When you are going to fight for the championship?
A.G No rush. First I will fly to Poland. Wroclaw I think. Month later I'm supposed to fight in China. After that bouts "Grandpa" should set me a title fight. I must have that belt

He should fight David Tua, another fighter that is poorly managed

I don't think that Golota is poorly managed. He fought four times for the title, Tua only once. And they both fought quality opposition.
But it's true that they had potential to achieve much more

Without a doubt they shouldve achieved more
