No-one has heard. But I think that in itself answers the question. If Ike had been parolled, it would've caused a lot of gossip around boxing newsites and forums. The fact that that hasn't happened should suggest that Ike didn't get parole and he's still locked up.
And there you have it in a nutshell. Forget about Ike. Even if Ike got out of jail tommorow his got far more pressing issues to deal with than coming back to boxing. The guys a certified lunatic. This content is protected
What a shame, at time when there's been a lack of talent in the division for the past 6 or 7 years, we could of really used a fighter like Ike cleaning up the mess we have now.
Not what I meant Mex, I was just saying if never went to jail and continued fighting into the 2000s he would of been the man to beat IMO, what fighter do you know that could trade punches with Tua and still be standing, let alone win?
he's the last decent prospect since lewis IMO! - none since apart from some european bums. real shame, but seems he's a bad guy so my sypaphy ends there
One, he's out of shape and crazy so even if he did make it out of jail then he'd be worthless. Two, in order to be granted parole he will have to admit that he's done something wrong. Ike still denies the charge so every time they line him up he gets sent back to his cell. Ike will never be paroled. If he lives out his sentence he will then be deported.
It's cool, I could agree with your post. I just think impressed so many with his performances against both Tua and the 5th round knockout of Bryd, before his 20th fight. He also had the built and style to be not only a popular Heavyweight, but a very dangerous one as well.
