I easily could have missed something, but I don't recall any news on the man since his close loss to Bradley. Did he retire? Any fights scheduled? I mean, I know the Hatton Army has a disdain for the dude always runnin' his mouth about the Hit Man, but still Witter is a pretty damned good 140 fighter no matter which side of the fence you sit on. How about it fella's, esp. those in the UK "in the know". Any thing goin' on for Junior? __________________________________________________________________________ Also, how about Paul Smith, UK guys? He was the most impressive fighter to me on the last contender series he was on (I know not the CW one, but before that). To me Sakio Bika and the Aussie fighter with the "drunken sailor" type style (his name, embarrasingly is slipping my mind right now, lol) seemed like Ringers since they'd already had some world title cracks. But Paul never really lost. He got cut on a technicality (a cut, lol), and never lost a fight on there. I really liked that dude, but get little to no news on him in the US since the Contender Series has been over.
Yeah apparently he's gonna fight a young lad called McCluskey for the Lonsdale belt. Bit of a step down if you ask me coz i've seen this kid fight, he's ok but witter should dispatch him. Probably a bit embarrassed that he was beat by Bradley after all a win would have been his best chance ever to get his 'dream fight'
Paul McClusky?? From Ireland?? DAMN!!!! I hope RTE shows that if it is the guy I'm thinkin of! I like McCluskey a good bit, along with Dunne and Macklin from that scene. You could be right in that McCluskey is a step down, but IMO I'll tell you Junior better not sleep on that cat! He, along with other attributes, has the heart of a lion.:yep
Junior had a comeback fight which he won by KO in the 3rd round against a nobody and is looking to have a few fights and then get back in the title picture. Sam Soliman is the fighter you are thinking of and Paul Smith is on most of Frank Warrens big fight undercards but he lost a few fights ago on points to someone he should really be beating if he were to ever be world class. I quite like Paul Smith but everytime I have seen him recently he hasn't looked that great to be honest.
I've seen some negative posts about Bradley on here, and while he seemed to come out of nowhere, I'm VERY impressed with the kid. He may not have the big bombs and heavy hands (though he did manage to put Witter down for a few seconds), but he is very sharp in other areas. TBH, if Bradley can keep improving a bit, IMO he'll be on the bottom of the P4P lists not too long from now and move up as time goes on. Just my opinion, but I personally see the skills in him that a P4P fighter makes.:yep
Yeah mate THAT Paul McClusky. Yeah know what you mean about the heart and that but Witter is by far a better/more experienced fighter. The next couple of fights for him now (until he's back at world level) are do or die fights for him so can't really see him not being motivated.
Junior does really seem to struggle with getting motivated though, as a fan that was one thing that has always annoyed me a little about him. He fights to the level of the competition and sometime goes to sleep a bit in fights.

He's a victim of being a good fighter with a horrible style. Put simply, if people want to avoid him they can, because nobody is interested.
AWWWWWW ****!! I got to find a way to watch that fight! You are correct in everything you say about Witter and his world class experience, but I still say he better come with the A game for McCluskey.:yep
That sucks..... Was really looking for big things from Paul, but if nobody is interested, you don't get **** for breaks. Sucks.... Come on Paul!, make "them" take notice!!!!:good
i've been wandering where Junior Witter is...he has pop and can switch...the loss to Bradley hurt but he can easliy get back in it...i think a Witter/Holt fight makes sense...
