Was it just me or did it seem like the other guys in the corner didn't agree with the main trainer and he was shutting them up?
Katsidis trainer is an arse. Katsidis said the flight home was 17 hours. I say never mind the 17 hour flight, stay in the states & find a new trainer who knows somenthing about boxing.
Yeah that's exactly what I am talking about. The other guys in the corner were trying to say something and he was shutting them up.
it was crazy how his trainer was making out like max was making it up or something, like they had been robbed.:huh
The dude really needs to put the pipe down. From about the 7th or 8th on he should have been telling Katsidis he needed a knockout. It is pretty clear Katsidis needs a new trianer that will work with him as he is, you aren't going to teach him how to box defensively at this point.
Wait till Katsidis watches the replay. You can't lie to a fighter when its right in there face. Katsidis is a good, humble person. He won't lie to himself His corner let him down. They should of had Katsidis unleash the beast by at least round 6. The body work he put in the first few rounds might have started to pay off had he started to crank up the pressure. Much like Margarito did to Cotto. (Althought, Katsidis is no Margarito) Bottom line, Diaz fought an amazing fight. He gave Katsidis a boxing lesson. I'd like to see him fight Nate again. The Juan Diaz of tonite, (volume puncher) would of shot Nate down.
I take nothing away from Nate but I would love to see the rematch with a focused Diaz in the ring. There was so much distractions leading up to the fight and it had to take its toll on Juan. I don't think this fight gets made soon because assuming Nate wins against Guzman I expect him to chase the Marquez/Casa winner.
Kats may as well have had Mr Rogers in his corner "you're doing great mate, just keep doing what you're doing" may as well have said..."You're doing great mate, you're taken a hell of a beating Mick but you're doing beautiful."
