Was the GSP-Penn fight really SUCH a climax that no other night of fights will ever be satisfying again? Why am I the only person excited about seeing Diego go to LW and fighting Stevenson? How does this NOT have great fight written all over it? How does Gouvea (sic)-Marq NOT have great fight written all over it? And Rua-Lidell later on? Sure, it's a bit late but frankly, with them both on the decline like they are, this could turn into a really awesome barn-burner! Silva fights again soon and he is always spectacular to watch (save for one HUGE exception.) I just don't get it...
I would say a lot of people are focused on their lives at the moment. Eco going to ****.. jobs hard to come by. ****, Im trying to join the navy but I might have to wait a year to go to bootcamp.
I'm ****ing ill at the moment. Ruined my whole ****ing half term. I'm not excited for anything.:verysad:| But anyway, aswell as Diego coming down which is very exciting if you ask me, I'm really interested (being a Brit) in how Dan Hardy does. I don't think it's a **** card at all. It has some good names on it. Just they could do a better main event. UFC 96 looks pretty poor to me with the only fight I want to see being Rampage-Jardine, as I'm a big Rampage fan.
Are you speaking for everybody? Not every card will have mega fights on them nor will every card be totally stacked if they have cards every month or less. It's hard to make everybody happy every card.
I'm very excited for Maia vs Sonnen and Marquartd vs Gouveia Sanchez vs Joe Daddy will be the cherry on the sunday. I cant wait to see Maia fight.
diego-stevenson looks good on paper but im disappointed at diego moving down cuz he couldnt hang with the big boys at 170 lbs gouvea-marquardt doesnt sound too intereting. rua-Liddell would have been awesome had rua beat forrest and iceman beat rampage back then. I still love to see this fight but it's just not as exciting as it was before.
the penn gsp event has really turned me from mma, it was the most anticipated fight ever and i cannot see another fight that will match it for size and look what happened in the fight bj didnt bother train and got whooped, ill watch tonights event although i prob think its ****, i cant remember the last ufc i thought was enjoyable except fo ufc 93 as i was there and pissed out of my head
Well look at the run MMA has been on: You've had two months (at least) of really solid fights in MMA. UFC 92 and 94 were solid, 93 wasn't bad either. Affliction put on a great show, WEC had a great show so on so forth. You kind of need a show like this where there's a little breathing room for the fans so that they don't get burnt out. The hype machine will start after 96 when all the big fights start to come up again.
Im exicted for everything for tonights fights,WEC next week,Strikeforce on Showtime in April,the Dream Featherweight Tourney everything even Rampage vs Jardine. If you arent exicted you arent a fan starting in April we may get Franklin-Wanderlei,Cro Cop-Couture,Liddell-Shogun,Penn-Florian,Alves-GSP,Mir-Lesnar II etc etc. MMA is better then ever tonight is the 2nd free card in 3 weeks I love it.
