I was psyched when Q was mentioned as being on the undercard, given that like Mayweather he is also from my hometown. Even if it was against a shot inactive fighter like Winky.

But since the fight fell through I have heard nothing about it. Has Quillin been taken completely off the undercard? Somebody mentioned Mayorga, that would be a really exciting undercard fight. Quillin is an offensive fighter who has power and goes for the KO. Really any opponent would make for an exciting contenst?

I mean why not one of the Europeans. Is GBP protecting Quillin because of what happened to Danny Jacobs? :bart

He needs to fight Pirog, both guys have a lot to gain from a victory and the matchup would be great.

That would be a good match up, but Im not sure Quillin is ready for that yet.
I would pick Quillin over A Lee whci would be a good match up also

Yea but I think Lee's busy in some Kronk fight. Golovkin's also busy. He could fight N'dam, Proksa or Barker but I'm not sure whether they would accept it so Pirog seems like the best choice!

Quillin vs Pirog is die hard boxing fan fight. Casuals wont know who the **** either man are. But for die hard fans it would be a mini-main event.

If Golden Boy made that fight, it would show they truly care about the sport and want to satisfy the true boxing fans.

But I dont see it happening. Infact I think Pirog is going to retire soon, beating Danny Jacobs was the worst thing he could have done for his career.

Infact he probably would have gotten more fights had he taken a dive. As bad as that sounds, its how bad boxing is nowdays.

yeah I was wondering this too. They got Jessie Vargas on the card against TBA (probably Gomez though)
Guerro was going to be there but was taken off once he turned down Paulie so idk

Quillins twitter is a big vague. Says GPB is working on something but he wont say what. That was like a week ago. Be pissed if he gets taken off the undercard.

You have a good point with that. Pirog became a dangerman with that KO win.
Still Jacobs is young, has alot of talent and I felt was ahead before he was KOd. I think that was a case of man against boy there really

I heard because the Vegas commission didn't want to license Winky, Golden Boy is still going to go ahead with the fight, but in another state in a different date.

Big Quillin fan here. Someone like Brian Vera would be a decent test but if he really wanted a big test, N'Jikam would be a great fight. It's not likely given nobody knows who he is in the U.S.

    Lorenzo could be a possibility.
