Carl Froch's legacy is travelling all around the globe fighting the best of the best, and saying tremendous heart doing so.
Ward's legacy is fighting in Joakland with his personal refs.

Froch is not a class act.

Not before, during or after the fight.

Groves had Froch in a lot, lot more trouble in Rd. 1 than Froch had Groves in rd 9. A combination of tiredness, a punch combo landed by Froch, the style in which groves moves (i.e. flopping around) and Groves falling off balance created the perfect storm for Froch's Dad, Howard Foster, to step in and quickly save Froch's belts.

Groves was in a lot less trouble than it looked and was coherent and lucid 2 seconds after Froch's dad stepped in.

I had a lot of respect for Froch before this fight but I have completely lost it after the amount of delusional crap he has been talking.

In terms of gaining the support of people he's the winner. That's lagely due to people liking underdogs, though.

Still a warrior, despite the fact you don't like him. That's undeniable.

No. No it wont. History looks upon Lewis/Vitali as a case of Vitali doing well but failing to protect his cut or finish Lewis off and legitimately not being able to continue safely - some think him unlucky - history will look back on Groves/Froch as a case of the referee ruining the fight and event and robbing Groves of the opportunity to prove his heart, durability and will to win or alternatively robbing Froch of the chance to secure a decisive comeback victory.

Out of the build up trash talk GG backed up more of his claims than froch did that's for sure.

I , and many others, believe that Froch would have gone on to win. No doubt he was losing and had been taught a lesson by Groves, but Froch is absolutely nails. I mean, the beating he took was unbelievable. I think the tide had turned and it would have been a matter of time before he stopped Groves. The Taylor fight can be used as a case in point.
If Groves can stick to a game plan and not get drawn into a slug fest late on, he could easily beat Froch.
Froch is not the enemy here, it is Howard Foster. He robbed the world of a real conclusion to one of the best fights I have seen in a long time, until the ridiculous stoppage.

    REMATCH!

I agree with the TS - whether or not you think Groves could have made it without that stupidly premature stoppage there is no real reason to hate on Froch. So he was a bit ungracious? Newsflash: He really hates Groves! Plus he got hit in the head like a million times because he was up against a superior fighter - this tends to make people less eloquent and nice. Yet somehow Froch he still ended up looking like he could have conceivably stopped Groves even without the idiot ref. Groves showed a bit of naivity letting himself get dragged into a trenchfight and then he got screwed - but there is no real reason to hate on the Cobra.

We like our sports men to be honest, if he came out and said it wasnt my night and I got lucky then we could move on , but he didnt and even said the ref saved Groves's career!!!

Please the only career that was partially saved was Froch's

The British general public are, by and large, idiots. That was pure WWE last night. Booing Froch after all he's accomplished was disgraceful.

I'm sorry. **** off. A bull**** premature stoppage of an otherwise great fight and Froch, McCracken, Hearns and the BBBofC all trying to justify and legitimize it. That's worth all the hate, boos and jeers they got that night.

Froch will always have respect for what he's done in his career but last night he was gifted a stoppage win, Groves was a robbed of a chance to prove himself, the referee ruined the event and the fans in attendence had every right to voice their outrage at how that fight ended and their displeasure Froch trying to justify it in his post-fight interview.

People booed because the stoppage was a farce. People booed because of Frochs post fight comments. People booed because it was clearly a **** stoppage, gifting froch an undeserved victory at that point, be it through ref error or corruption. People booed because of the lack of class and laughable justification for the stoppage given by froch post fight. People booed because the whole fiasco deseved to be booed.

He talked too much. All he had to say was it was in the ref's hand and that would have been sad enough BUT he kept going on and on and on about Groves being childish as if that somehow justifies that BS stoppage. Carl is usually articulate and good natured but he sounded pathetic and childish.

Groves was the real winner after all the talk Froch said about hes gonna teach him some respect. Last Night Groves made him look silly and then the ref ruined a brilliant fight. I think Groves would have recovered and completed the job but the ref was a disgrace Froch was on his ass in round 1 and at the very least if groves had gone down he would have had the 8 count. What a complete joke that Howard Foster is cost me big time I backed Groves and knew he would have outboxed a so called warrior. The very least Froch could have done was give the man his credit that was due in post fight interview and he couldnt even do that. Froch lost a lot of respect last night
