Honestly cannae mind mate, it was a couple of years ago and I had only made about 30 posts! Back then, much like now, I was more of a forum "lurker" opposed to a regular poster!!

i'm a complete newb, i've followed the posts on eastside for a long time but i rarely post myself because i pretty much always end up sounding like a ******...

The british board seems to me like one of the more mature areas of the eastside forum, less bias and more objective when it comes to opinions of boxers and fights (regardless of if they are from britain or not)...

surely it doesn't matter if your a newb or not as long as you know what your talking about?

i've been a fan of the site for a good few years but only joined the forum recently. I never really saw the point in online discussions before. I have to agree though that I dont think its new poster one should be worried about as much as the idiot youngsters. I also agree that some of the pish spouted over on the general forum is enough to put you right off this place !

I'm all for newbs as long as they bring discussion which is worth taking up page space. Steel Em you make me laugh your such an argumentative bugger- lol  .... My point of this thread was really neither for nor against the newby- just wondering where they had all came from. The more the merrier I say as long as they all agree with me i'm not bothered

Plus the British forum is the only forum i've ever come across on the internet which has some sort of community... I wouldn't post anywhere else. You may disagree with some people here and there but ultimately I think we're all pretty respectful of each other.

I second that. I've been on this site for a few years now and have been a boxing fan for over 15 years, but only joined the forum recently as I felt that I wouldn't be able to contribute to the discussions as effectively as the more knowledgeable posters. But as someone said, you do get an education here.

This forum was alot better (thats the Brit forum) about 3 years ago.Back then the British forum was the best forum to be in on the web by far.Boxrec BA Seconds Out couldnt hold a candle to it.Plus back then we had alot of knowledgeable posters most of which dont post often and these days rarely visit like DG and Tuffy. The old guard is almost gone.I think myself and Strike are the only ones left.
