The left hook is most synonimous with Mexicans, not Puerto Ricans. With Ortiz, it was any number of things. The hook doesn't stand out. Benitez had his defense. His jab and lead right were his most effective shots, I'd say. Gomez, the best of them all, had an array of punches that were all as good as each other. Nothing really stands out there, either. Only Cotto and Trinidad are known primarily for their hooks. However, the Mexicans.......Zarate, Cuevas, Chavez, Pintor, Olivares certainly.....Zamora was another......all of them were known for their hooks.
The last 3 prominent PR's have had a left hook as really their only devastating weapon. Calm down about Mexicans man.
It's fine dude, I don't give a damn one way or the other. I was just putting out there that it's Mexicans that are traditionally known for that. I don't care if you want to claim that for Puerto Ricans. Feel free.
Usually when there is a successful fighter from a particular region a crop of fighters with similar trends will emerge. Tito started the trend. Juanma lopez also had a very good left hook.
u are mexican so u are bias therefor youre opinion is not valid. On that note,,u are ****ing crazy bro,.. The left hook is more to puerto ricans then mexicans.. Mexicans are known for great chins and block heads that can absorb punishment. There has been so many mexicans that u could say they own everypunch from the jab and etc... But ricans are known for the left hook,..not mexicans..fact.
BIITTTCCCHHHHH....atsch then wat the **** u talking bout,,u dont know **** bout boxing :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl kick rocks kid,..before i school u again.
LOL... Garcia is as Puerto Rican as any PR fighter. His Parents are Rican. That is how this game is played. That's like saying Ortiz is American...He is as "mexican" as it gets.
