Nah . . . now. I myself, saw at least three threads in here . . . antagonizing Ali and saying he is over rated. :yep
yea just like before the hatton fight people were trying to say pbf was a bum,or that before the lacy fight jc was nothing!
Hard to know where to start with a young fella like you. Your post simply overflows with bovine excrement. Destroyed by Frazier? A close (but clear) decision loss to Frazier, with only two tune-ups after a three and a half year lay-off (His prime years). Avenged in a clear decision in the rematch and stopping Frazier in the rubber match. (Look up some of Joe's comments about Ali after tha third fight, and Joe was no Ali fan.) Gift decision against Jones? He scored a UD, with the ref scoring it 8 rounds to 1. Laid out by Cooper? I watched him KO cooper, twice, both times in the first half of the fight. Cooper personally ranked Ali as one of the four greatest heavywts ever. (Without giving an order, he picked Johnson, Louis, marciano and Ali) Gift decision over Banks? He KO'd the guy. When you score a KO, there IS NO decision, gift or otherwise. Time for you to hop back to the lounge, kid! You're making a **** of yourself here.
Ali's antics and good-natured banter kept boxing in the public eye. He had more personality in his pinkie than Floyd has. His greatness was evident and universally proclaimed long before the first hint of Parkinson's. It's not Ali who's sounding like a **** here.
That saved me a few minutes typing, thanks for that :good You also have to consider the age of Ali in those fights apart from the Frazier one. He wasn't the P4P best ever, but to deny he was the best heavweight ever is just pure ignorance, especially when you consider we never got to see him in his true prime.
What's your ****ing point here? Go back and read my posts in this thread. I was an Ali fan before you were in Kindergarten. And people on the other side of that Atlantic rarely use the word *****, when they mean ****. Your lack of that piece of linguistic trivia was what I was referring to. Try to get things straight or you'll look like even more of a **** than that frog character.
There is a natural backlash against Ali because people outside of the boxing fraternity don't even consider anybody else in his league. People who don't know boxing think he can fly and shoot lazer beams out of his eyes. Being the best doesn't eliminate you from being overrated, as strange as it seems.
I'll use whatever words I feel like using. You should get yourself a life, one that doesn't involve gays.
He made tons of money, more than anyone of the pre 80's era. He did not give his all to the sport, he gave his all to himself. He doublecrossed people, was a racist (ever see his 1970's interview on race mixing?) and was a hippocrite.
