where are these guys coming from?? not that im complaining or have a problem, but its just the ones that are making the most noise are cubans. they all seem to be fast power punchers with good defensive skills. anybody wanna elaborate or keep me up to date on what ive missed lol.

You missed nothing, just the usual Cuban hype.

They will be here to stay as well. My favorite out of the bunch is Erislandy Lara.

Because pro Boxing is outlawed in Cuba, if they want to turn pro they have to excape, but it's easer these days with people like Oner and Hyde willing to pay the $10,000 to sneek them out.

A lot of Cuban fighters turned pro at/around the same time so it seems like there's more of them than what they really are. Guys like Odlianer Solis, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Erislandy Lara, Yan Bartholemy and now Guillermo Rigondeaux, Yudel Jhonson all sort of arrived on the same so close in proximity that you get the feeling it's a Cuban invasion. They're all talented but opinions vary on how far they can go. I'd say Gamboa is the best (as of right now) but guys like Rigondeaux and Lara seem to be heading towards a similar direction.

because they are not allowed to, they have to defect their country which is extremely hard, if you are a well known sports figure in cuba people are always going to be watching you and on top of that you need help from the outside to get out

that why a lot of this cats turned pro after they are 24 or 25 , i really wish gamboa rigo etc wouldve turned pro by the age of 22 or 23 , gamboa still has a lot of time since hes been pro for 3 years but for rigo's case it might hurt him

If Cuban fighters were allowed to turn pro they would dominate the sport, its depressing just thinking about all the great cuban fighters pro boxing missed over the years cause of Fidel and his laws.

yea ur right. 28 and 30 is really old for a FW. but by the way they fight there's no sign that they're slowing down or are too old. if anything they fight like 20 year olds lol.

if solis can get his fat ass in shape then he would decimate either klitschko. the guy has way too much talent to let himself go like the way he's doing right now.
