whats with the excuse that hatton doesn't belong at 147?

Because he can't pick on 130lbers at 147. Other than Floyd and he still got whooped

 

His trainer has always insisted from day 1 that he is a natural 140 pound fighter.

His style is bullying opponents and using his superior strength at 140 which obviously he can't do to the likes of Cotto. Plus he is only 5'6 which is very short for a 147 pound fighter.

I think we all know that the Cotto fight will never happen he is far too big and strong for Hatton.

 

Well mainly because he is a ****ing midget. He is not tall enough for the weight and given his style, ie outstrengthing his opponents, he needs the physical advantages at 140.

It's not really an excuse, it's just the way it is. Cotto has a much bigger frame. You could find middleweights that are only a few inches bigger, it doesn't really prove anything, as anyone that knows anything about boxing would know

Nobody thinks Hatton is an elite boxer he is a very good fighter. At welter he has neither the boxing ability nor physical strength to compete

 

Cotto is bigger boned when compared to Hatton.

Hatton is great for what he is but a skilled tactician will always beat him, he's to limited just as Cotto is.

Cotto-Hatton would be fireworks with Cotto coming out the winner Mid Rounds.

 

Cotto is physically much bigger and carries the weight better. The ''excuse'' is plain to see, Hatton cannot carry the physical strengths up from 140 to 147 to compete against the much bigger and stronger welters. That much is obvious, he is a better fighter at 140, thats his natural weight, so he does not need an ''excuse'' not to fight at Welterweight.

What's Cory Spinks ''excuse'' that he does not fight at MW? The simple answer is that he is better at LM, and is too small for MW.
