Mayweather was way too big for Marquez who, for the first time, decided to take that leap up in weight. Then May didn't even attempt to make weight, he didn't even try. I'm not saying Marquez would of beat Mayweather if he did make the weight, I'm sure Money would of still won. But he wasn't really trying to meet Marquez half way. He already had all the advantages, reach, height, speed, mobility, youth, etc... But now by not making that weight. he also had a more significant weight advantage. Marquez chance against Floyd was to take a shot while getting in, to land his shots. But Floyd's jabs were like power punches against Marquez, deterring JMM to take that only chance he had of making those needed risks to create opportunities. By the time Marquez fought Pac for the 3rd time he had already adjusted to the higher weight, learning for the mistakes he did the first time doing that against Floyd. and looked better conditioned, not as fluffy as he did against Floyd.
I'm still undecided on Garcia but the way that people are Dick riding him so quickly reminds me of *******s. Like this ******.
the guy is really promising. future p4p fighter for me.. i'm not yet totally sold on him but let see coz we'll find out next year hopefully he fights someone with a pulse. i'm hearing his fighting judah next..
Garcia a G. Having haters means you've mad it. See Pac and Floyd. Both have mad haters, both are icons of the sport.
This is your answer right here, and it's a damn shame. Fighters with a big mouth (Broner) and fighters with skill but have not fought anyone of note (Rigo & GGG, although Golovkin has one decent win against Proksa) get more respect then fighters who have proven their worth. It's completely ridiculous, people have got their sense of value all screwed up.
2 wins is better than the no wins Rigo is sporting, but people line up in droves to wait for their chance to kiss his ass. Same with Broner whose only credible name on his resume is Ponce De Leon, and he probably should have lost that one. Same with GGG, who despite having a decent win over Proksa has no other meaningful wins, yet is tabbed by many as THE NEW MAN at middleweight.
That's his dad though dude, hate Angel fine actually to be expected. But that's no reason to hate the kid who is very soft spoken and just wins :deal
Khan was hailed as the best of the division, and the big favorite to win. Garcia beat the odds and KO'd Amir, who by most peoples tally at the time most decidedly had a pulse.
well...yeah. Beating Khan does actually give you a pretty legitimate claim to be the man at 140. Very worst it gives you the right to say you're top 3
