What's with the Klitschko's and these rediculous contracts?

I read an article a few days ago and it stated that if Chisora were to beat Wlad, he would have to fight Vitali, then if he were to beat Vitali, he would have to rematch Wlad.

Arent these the same stipulations they hit Haye with?

Now I can understand a rematch clause, but this is a bit obsurd.

    yep,seems like a ***** move by 2 underconfident champions.

but klitschkos seem to be free of criticism on the whole.

it just seems wrong to me, a rematch i could understand, but fight me, then fight my brother
then fight me or my brother again, thats just too much.

no wonder they tell opponents to keep quiet about it. they know its wrong.

Asking for a rematch clause is standard but involving your brother? That's childish.

Yeah the 1st Vlad contract was apparently so bad that when Setanta went bust David Haye would of hardly earnt a penny unless another network took their place and he didnt have time to organise that so thats where the back injury came from. Vlad had insulted Haye on the contract table like Haye had insulted him and his brother with the decapitation thing.

Klitchko contracts can be quite poor but i have a feeling they are both more than willing to give Haye a much improved contract just to make sure they get him in the ring and he cant use contracts as excuses any more.

Yes, that's the same contract they offer all of their opponents. But I have no idea why anyone would complain about it. Isn't that what people want? Big money fights against high profile fighters? So Haye would have gotten 50% of the revenues from THREE Klitschko fights? That's probably well over $50 million.

But according to some fighters it's not big money, even for the 2nd and 3rd fights.

This is misleading. The contract did not explicitly say Vitali. Basically, K2 would have options on the next 2 Chisora fights. Options is a standard practice. Although, since K2 is only Wlad and Vitali that implies that Chisora would have to rematch Wlad and then fight Vitali or have 2 rematches with Wlad or any other combination.

Negative. K2 also has Banks and Ustinov in their stable, but they're not going to be part of this picture, Klitschko would get the rematch.

I don't get all the bitching....a VOLUNTARY opponent gets a shot at 2 major titles (IBF/WBO) + Ring Mag belt, if he wins he gets a guaranteed shot at a 3rd major title (WBC). He gets career high paydays and becomes recognized as THE MAN at Heavyweight. Then another defense over K2 further solidifies that status and its another huge fight. It's smart business on K2's part and a dream opp for a challenger, unless they know they don't have a shot in hell at winning the 1st fight to start with.

Chisora just has a big mouth, typical Brit fighter. It's all irrelevant for him now, he can go back to the British HW circuit. All this talk about him not accepting step aside money and him demanding his shot now is laughable. Doesn't he know he was a voluntary defense? He's not owed anything, except a massive beating for running his mouth and smacking around his girl.
