What's with the Klitschko's and these rediculous contracts?

No, but I'm not talking about some fighters. I'm talking about David Haye. 50% upside on up to three fights against two of the biggest draws in the sport should be a dream come true. He's getting greedy because he can sell a boatload of PPVs in the UK, and he wants to keep that money for himself, while the Klitschkos get a flat fee for each fight on RTL (I feel like I saw 8 million Euro per fight reported somewhere, but I could be wrong). Of course, that ignores the fact that the Klitschkos would get a MUCH larger live gate than Haye could ever get, even if they're fighting the Sosnowskis of the world.

And even Chisora said he would make a lot more money on the second and third fights, had he beaten Wlad. But for a purse 4x your career high payday, you take that risk. It's not like there are other big money options out there. Haye is giving his opponents **** contracts too.

Whether or not that's the case, what has repeatedly been reported (by Chisora, by Booth, by Chagaev and others) is that their standard contract is for three fights, where if you win you need to face the other brother, and if you win that one you rematch the original brother.

Even if it is options, who else would they have them fight? Ustinov? Get real.

It is fact! It was reported from various reliable sources, unaffiliated with each other. Open your eyes Hayelord!

One: You've misspelled ridiculous and absurd. Which is both ridiculous and absurd.

Two: Chisora wasn't a mandatory, he didn't earn a shot at Wladimir in any way at all. Who cares what deal he was willing to take to get a fight he didn't earn? Both Klitschkos have kept up with their mandatory opponents and have their belts and demand whatever the hell they want. Big whoop. Guys on top dictate tough terms and get what they want. That never changes much.

This is not a bad deal for somebody who has zero chance of becoming a mandatory anytime soon. They can fight for a mandatory shot or they can sell themselves into slavery to get one. Personal choice, really.

Haye got into slave contract with Don King to get a shot at Valuev. He did not want to fight Chagaev to become a mandatory. It tells something about the man, doesn't it?

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. Chisora is lucky as **** to even get a shot at the champion. Plus, if he did beat Wlad, the best fight out there would be Chisora vs Vitali. Who would you want him to fight instead? Harrison? Ruiz? Valuev? It's reasonable and it makes for the best scenario for fans.

Aren't you the fool that made himself look stupid on that other thread with the boxing odds? :patsch Soon dissapeared from there, didn't you  http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273677

I am no Haye lord. Infact I was only saying recently how I wished they would just fight so I could laugh at the losing crowd, whoever get's KO'd.

But there is no doubting you're a Klit-sucker.

EDIT: Yeah, it was you. Thought so.

The point is if he beat Wlad it should be up to him who he fights next. The people defending this are the same people who defend everything the Kilts do.

What's the problem? Most word champions put rematch clauses into contracts and nobody complains, so why the complaint about having to rematch with Wlad? And the fight with Vitali in between, why wouldn't he want that anyway? Why would you beat one brother and not want to fight the other? Haye has already said he wants to fight Wlad then Vitali, so what's the problem?

But he's already said he wants to fight Vitali after Wlad should he beat him, so again, what's the problem? And it shouldn't really be up to him who he fights, because Vitali would be the fight everybody wants. It then doesn't allow him to go back and start fighting stiffs like Harrison again.

That's right. But through all 3 of the fights, Haye wouldn't be the one making the majority of the money.

Nobody is bothered about rematch clauses, but sewing up the next 3 fights is a bit over the top. It is indeed a slave contract.

Why should he make the majority? He's being offered 50/50 down the middle to fight either of them. He's lucky to even be getting that against Wlad.
