That's not a good example. Brewster accepted his corners decision. It was also clear that Brewster just showed up for a paycheck. He didn't even try to fight. It didn't look like he even wanted to be in there to begin with.

Tony Lopez vs Chavez is another one again off the top of my head

If Brewer didn't come to fight then neither did Demarco since they ultimately landed about the same amount of punches

When you get a concussion, proper emotional response is one of the first to go. Also, unless you are a physician trained to diagnose concussion, it is very hard to judge properly.

They are paid to box and not be a vegetable at age 40. Soldiers volunteer to fight, is it OK to keep shooting until every single one of them is dead.

Second, people waiting for someone to bleed before to stop a fight is dumb.
The WORST injuries (aside from dying) you can get from boxing have no bleeding associated with them - major concussion and paralysis. Cuts are fixable. Concussions have been discovered to have a lifetime effect, including dementia at a much early age. And not like most boxers earn to feed their family for the rest of their life.

and who went clean?...im mexican, born and raised, but you think like my pops, saying that if you don't die in the ring,to go and do another profesion, quote "might as well cut the bulls horns to avoid any damage to the bullfighter",but i disagree, demarco was going to get ko for sure and probably get really hurt,he is only 24,so he should be able to fight another day...you see,im sure you never been in boxing,or if you did,you failed terrible and maybe talking out of frustation, because as you well know, sometimes the corner should save the fighter, because he might be too brave to quit, and by the way,do a little research, the words NO MAS were never said,it was a gringo who said it with the little Spanish he knew!!:-(

well when you take hundreds of shots from a champ with a 100% ko record, it would be wise to do something. since he couldnt really fight back it would be pointless to go 12 rounds and ruin his career. look at david reid, went 12 rounds with tito when it shoulda been stopped alot sooner and ruined his career.

If youre talking DeMarco then you need to think it over a bit and look closely at him right after the 8th round in the corner, he didnt look good at all, he looked sleepy like he was going to pass out right there. I was surprised his corner didnt stop it and worried maybe he had a concussion, the dude had zero energy left but he got up and went on in the 9th round because thats what hes trained to do. After that he was just plain exhausted and based on how he was physically I can not see anyone giving him **** for telling the trainer he was done. This was not like it was round 3 and he just didnt feel like fighting anymore, the dude was beyond spent.

I've never ran from anyone. Why would I be jealous of Mexican fighters? Some of the fighters I've liked have been Mexican. I give credit to fighters, including Mexicans. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean you have to act like a *****.

I didn't say I wanted anyone to die or suffer in the ring. I'm saying "warriors" want to fight and don't want to quit. That's a natural reaction for most athletes. There are fighters that I didn't criticize for quitting, but not guys that could continue.

How many people up here have said all Mexican fighters lack heart? You see more and more Mexicans quitting nowadays. These were the guys that were supposed to be the standard of toughness. We didn't make the rule, we just followed it.

Are you actually dumb enough to sit here and say that you have to be a boxer to have heart? You don't know what any of us posters have been through in our personal lives to try and say that we don't have heart. I didn't know that Mexican fighters were absolved of any type of criticism. Every other race, ethnicity, and nationality gets it on this site, but Mexicans can't?
