Yeh Im a fan of him too guys, but SERIOUSLY, he's done nothing special to be a P4P contender. Yes he will do great things next year etc but it doesnt give him the right to claim P4P supremacy just yet. IT'd be no different to saying Nonito Donaire Should be top 20 P4P for knocking vic off his throne.
nor would he when his defence allowed him to get hit with that shot. Few rounds earlier Pavlik was almost a sleep on the canvas
Get the **** outta here!! You sure you watched the fight!!! Its was a good punch that got through, you wanna see two guys standing toe to toe and fight dont you? And he was on the deck for 5 seconds all up, and on his knees not his back. (sounds like a normal saturday night for you teke)
He's had a super year and deserves to scrape in to the top 10 p4p. What was Taylor ranked, 4 or 5 p4p? or around there? Hatton broke into the p4p top 10 in similar style so I don't think it's fair to call it American bias.
Well I was never high on Taylor, I suppose if people rated Taylor than he deserves to scrape in, never thought that much of Taylor (atleast not top 10 P4P), he got a quite a few questionable decisions over smaller and past prime competition during his reign. The Miranda fight was more impressive but i'm not convinced he's the best middleweight in the world until Abraham falls or Pavlik disposes of him himself (in which case he'll also be in my top 10 P4P), he doesn't strike me as being as formidable as a lot of other belt holders at other weights (Guzman, Mijares, etc).
Yeah, I agree too. He's kind of fortunate that he scored a fight with Taylor. Pavlik has had a good year though, not fighter of the year imo, I'd probably give that to Mayweather. I'll say this though, if Pavlik goes up to 168, he'll have a real hard time winning a title.
