Honestly, I don't think Floyd uses excessive holding at all.

I do. but he'd prob be fine if he didn't do it, as he could just use his james toney like way of rolling punches on the inside.

way below the waist line. some have the quickness and versatility to do it. some even duck well below the waistline even before the opponent throws. hence, pre empting any attack. then does it again when the opponent attacks.

Obviously holding, as it smothers the action. Pushing does not.

In fact, some pushing is a legitimate part of the sport, except in Washington DC, when the home-town fighter needs some assistance from the ref.

    Holding:
It's illegal yet I'm not sure how far back the rule goes considering you can watch a ton of fights over the years with holding as a tactic. All the way back to the early 20th century especially seemed to have lots of holding.grappling.

Pushing: Not sure how far back this rule goes either. It's annoying but I don't think it is all that bad. I'm not for it either because I like to see inside fighting; so its similar to me not liking holding tactics.

But overall, as long as both are seldom used, either isn't so bad.

Watching some early SOG fights recently. I hate punch-punch grab styles. I hope he fights more like he did against Froch from now on.

I think it's part of the game I don't like Wlad's style but I accept it, fighters have been doing this for years
