As much as I don't care that he quit, that is probably 100 percent true.

Reality check, Victor got your ass handed to you. While you are still picking up your teeth from the mat, try to sound like you got a pair. You don't DESERVE to be treated this way!!! Get out of boxing. This sport is for MEN.

This is laughable. If he is concerned about his health as he ages, he should LEAVE THE HURT BUSINESS. Staying in boxing and at the same time moaning about your future health after a loss is nothing short of pathetic. If he's so concerned, he should retire and get another job, not use it as a crutch for showing no heart when things get tough.

I for one am not going to watch him take his sparring mentality into the ring any longer. I never care to see him fight again.

Dont think Frazier ever quit vs Ali tho, he fell out with Futch for stopping the fight, he wanted to go to the death literally.

It much more honrable and courageous to go out on your shield. It much smarter to quit, and avoid unnceccesary punishment that can have permanent and devastating consequences.

Fighters should never quit UNLESS they know they are injured with something that prevents them from fighting. For example, if you cannot throw punches because of a bad arm or a bad knee, etc, then thats understandable. But to quit for just getting your ass whipped, well thats not a true fighter IMO.

Saying No Mas should not be an option for the fighter unless they are damaged.

In terms of your own safety, if you feel like you can't keep going then quit. The keyboard warriors won't wipe your ass when you're brain dead.

In terms of professionalism? Depends on how established your career is. If Shane Mosley quit on his stool in the future, who would say anything to him? Dude's been in enough wars to be allowed to decide whether he wants to go on.

i agree with the last part of your post. i will not hold it against a fighter who has had a long career, and he realizes during a fight that he no longer has what it takes to compete, and quits on his stool then retires. he has given his all and should go out on his own terms. however that may be. but for a young fighter to quit early in his career and use the excuse of he was worried about his health later on in life. he is definitely in the wrong business.

quitting is worse. worse for yourself, worse for your fans and worse for your career. losing is forgivable for most, quitting is not.
