If the best boxers are fighting each other and it is more fesible for them to meet at a catchweight what is the problem? Should for evample Mayweather drain himself down to 140 or Pacquaio possibily add too much weight to make 147? Please explain your silly point.

nothing at all. between 1900 and 1960 fighters always fought the best from other divisions.... middleweights even fought heavy's and feathers and welters... some of the greatest fights of all time were these type of fights.

As it stands, there's already plenty of divisions out there we don't need any further fragmentation.

As evidenced by some of the fights we've seen over the years, the "size" advantage is only an issue when both fighters are equal in all other areas, skills, speed, age, etc.

In the case of PAC/SSM(which is the reason this thread was started), Pac has the speed and youth advantage so what's wrong with allowing Mosley to come in at a comfortable weight without having to drain himself.

Pac already proved he can handle 147.

First, there is nothing wrong with Mayweather going downt to 140 because he can still make it (NOT DRAINED) to 140.

On the other hand Mosley going down to 142 is a bit much then it won't be a fight. If the catch weight is just at 145, 2lbs below Mosley's fight weight class then there is nothing wrong with that.

The problem for me with Catchweight fight is if you want to fight a guy for his title then take your ass to that weight. What happens if Pac were to beat Shane, will people still insist that welterweights come down in weight to fight him??? Its bull**** go to that weight or fight in your weight.

People make it sound as if this guys called out Pac and it was the other way around his team was calling out all theses fighters now they want them to come down in weight..Im just saying if just about anyother fighter was doing this crap he would be getting bashed left and right.

That was against Oscar and you know that Oscar was ****ed that night. Pacquiao also weight 148 when he fought Oscar. So assuming that Pacquiao will weigh-in at 142 before the fight. He will only hydrate 6lbs. Mosley will probably weigh-in at 147or 146 and then hydrate back to 160. I mean damn look at the size advantage of Mosley.

No need to assume. It's pretty obvious from your posting history.
