What's you guys opinion on Mike Tysons all time ranking?

Tyson was probably the most devastating fighter when it terms of knocking out bums and journeymen. My problem with ranking him very high on the all time ranking list is he did not beat any great HWs. The best name on his resume is a shot Holmes which says all.

 

Tyson is an ATG, but he has done absolutely nothing to deserve getting anywhere near anyone's top 5, or to be ranked ahead of Lennox Lewis.

Never beat a great heavyweight that was in their prime, or even close to being in their prime.

You could say that he was one dimensional too, dont think I could name a fight where Tyson was losing and made the adjustments and came back to win because I dont think such a fight exists. Whenever someone was giving Tyson a lot of problems they tended to keep on giving him problems until they knocked him out.

But he's the youngest hw champ in history and the way he destroyed the likes of Spinks, Bruno and Berbick(who are only average HW's in my opinion) means he shouldnt be out of anyones top 15 heavyweights of all time.

 

I agree he had all the potential in the world to go undefeated,break marcianos record,but his weak mind and gullability ruined what could have been a career with no questions..... instead of the one he had which leaves questions and makes for discussions like these.

Head to head I would favour him over most, with the exception of Ali. This is based on pure boxing ability.

In reality, I rank him below the likes of Lewis even though I think Tyson would beat him.
