Same, yeah. My all-time list would include Joe Louis and Marvin Hagler, would have to give more thought before filling in the other two blanks. If we really wanted to make it a true parallel to Mount Rushmore, it would be the four boxers you personally think were "best for the image of boxing" - as the presidents chosen for the sculpture were selected on the basis of having allegedly done the most to promote "Americanism" (either by expanding or preserving the republic)
Now if we are picking our favorites pfp of the last 20 years then I'm riding with these guys. These are guys who I absolutely loved watching to fight. Roy Jones Jr Gerry Penalosa Floyd Mayweather Arthur Abraham
Man, great call on Gerry but Arthur sticks out like a sore thumb there. Jones reps showmanship and freakish athletic talent, Peñalosa craft and hard work, and Mayweather the successful marriage of both - but AA? Take away the knockouts themselves and the other 98% of most of his matches are excruciating to watch.
I'd love Wilder to be on there but I'm not sure they'd be able to chisel his jaw out without causing a fatal rockslide.
