What's your current most WTF!? boxing opinion?

Unfortunately for Aussie boxing, Tim Tszyu will be forced to retire by the age of 35 as he continues to be chinned by high level counterpunchers.

 

I think the monster was already there, just needed letting out of the bag. He's a physical freak and will be tough to topple.

 

On one hand, 4 belts is a bit silly. On the other, it’s exciting watching a fighter collect all the belts one by one.

make me emperor, I think I’d keep all the belts, but make them mandatories for each other when challenged. For example, if WBC champ issues a challenge to IBF champ, WBC is immediately the mandatory for IBF and IBF is stripped if the fight isn’t booked within 90 days.

 

I think Brian Mendoza is to blame for that.

 

It's Tszyu in my opinion. Mendoza was having his ass handed to him by Fundora then he let his guard down and got whacked. Fundora, post fight has the mindset " ok, that was dumb but I was winning easy, I don't need to change my style, I love fighting this way". Then he fights Tim and fights his usual way for the first 2 rounds but Tszyu is totally outclassing him, everybody saw it ( and thats why they thought he'd win the rematch ) then in between rounds 2 and 3, two things happen. Fundora changes tact, knows he needs to use the jab more and Tim obviously suffers from that horrendously blinding cut. Fundora wins but knows, it's because of the cut and now realises that at the very top level, he'll need to utilise his size. Tszyu created this better version of Fundora. Fundora needs to stick to this though.

 

Mmmmm, I thought he fought diffrent from the start of the 1st fight, he just didn't have his distance down. Didn't have the footwork in sync with the jab ala Bivol. But, it doesn't matter, I think he is a serious threat.

 

I also think Loma could've been the greatest ever. If he was given the A side treatment he would still be undefeated the close decisions to Lopez and Salido would've gone his way and the total outright robbery against Haney would've gone his way. Loma has fought bigger men most of his career and never been dominated or seriously hurt.

 

One thing for sure, Loma is the best 'short armed' fighter ever.

 

Yep his amazing footwork and angles always helped him find his way inside.

 

That or an extra two inches reach

My other opinion is that even those who say that Haney beat Loma or that Canelo beat GGG don't actually believe what they are saying.

 

It didn't even work that well for Bob Foster.
