I like when good fighters look for opening and have an even give and take, where one might box and then the other comes on and makes the other guy fight by hurting him, and the tides change. .
Lights, camera and alot of action, drama (kd or KO) crowd roars.Keep you glued or on the edge of your seats.
Defination of a good fight ...when the two fighters are evenly matched ...each with there own special weapons of mass destruction ....both at some point land murderous blows ...the dust clears and both are still standing ...Barrera/Morales ..Gatti/Ward... Holyfield/Bowe....Holyfield/Cooper....Arguello/Pryor.....Tyson/Rudduck...Lewis/Bruno ...Benn/Eubanks....damn i could just go on and on
i like two types of fights, 1) when two knockout artists get into the ring and slug it out, just straight ugly brawling with thunderous punches being thrown. ex: ibeabuchi/tua, ruddock/tyson 2. 2) and of course the chess matches, where technicality, athleticism, and toughness are on display. ex: leonard/hearns, mayweather/judah.
Down to the wire every round counts. Both guys competing at a high level. Drama like a KD or a cut or deduction. When the final bell sounds you do not know who won.
Stylistically I'll take two good boxer/punchers over anything else. A good boxer/puncher vs a good brawler runs a close second. After that I'll take a good technical match up.
Agreed! Actually, I'd class that as a "great fight". I don't even need that much to rate something a "good fight". A good fight to me just needs some solid back-and-forth and at least a little drama.
. . . fights like the Vasquez vs Marquez or MAB vs Morales trilogies is an example of what is a good fight for me. A fight between two evenly skilled fighters wherein both are capable of taking out the other at any given point during the fight.
