it dosnt matter how many weights a fighter as fought in p4p means if all fighters were naturally one weight who would be the best. but lately people just look whos had a good year dosnt mean much anymore

P4P is a mix of many things including Talent, Power, Speed, defense, stamina, heart, finishing ability, and Combination punching. Then you gotta look at resumes. Who you fight and how dominant you are in you're wins are very important aspects to a career. I dont believe that a guy who goes from 130 - 154 lbs and wins makes him a better P4P fighter as a guy who starts at 140 and finishes at 147 lbs. If both men clean out their respective divisions and the talent on each resume is relatively equal then they are both just as impressive. My list includes the following in nor perticular order really.

    Ray Robinson
    Marvin Hagler
    Roberto Duran
    Manny Pacquaio
    Joe Louis
    Roy Jones
    Willie Pep
    Felix Trinidad
    Floyd Mayweather Jr
    Muhammad Ali
    Thomas Hearns
    Joe Calzaghe
    Bernard Hopkins
    Larry Holmes
    Esteban DeJesus
    George Foreman

Bernard Hopkins should be on the P4P list but Calzaghe also beat Hopkins so how can you say Bernard should be listed above Joe? Even at 170 or 175 lbs I believe that Hopkins is the slightly bigger and stronger of the 2 so you cant say Joe fought a smaller guy. Both guys were up there in age but are both still close to their primes as Hopkins' destruction of Tarver and Pavlik show. Not saying Pavlik or even Tarver are great wins for Hopkins but it does show that physicaly he is still close to his prime.

The manner of Lopez' victories have been top-notch, but within his own division his quality of opposition is behind that of Caballero, who I would rank higher.

PBF is the def of P4P but in calzaghes defense he can no move up 3 weight classes when he starts at 168...it is much easier for the lighter weights to move up and compete

Caballero is a very strange case for me. I have never seen the guy fight.

    How come? :blood

Lopez handled Ponce De Leon in much finer style, and his latest victory over Medina is comparable to Caballero's over Molitor.

I would make Lopez the favorite.

i asked that because you ranked caballero over lopez..im fine with that so long as you would say that caballero would be favored against lopez...

i do not understand all those people who favored lopez yet they put caballero higher in their p4p rankings

i guess most people would favor lopez..

I would favour Juan Manuel Marquez over Manny Pacquiao, but I have Manny at number one with Marquez just below him. It serves as no criteria on how they would do head to head for me, it is simply how each individual fighter is operating. How successful they are, and how consistent they are.

I feel Hatton would beat Pacquiao, but I wouldn't have him above Manny on the list.
