Sounds like a dumb thread but i thought Judah was awful last nite on FNF all over Lundys nuts

He was saying Lundy had better skills and ring generalship i just didnt see it

Skills by my definition would be boxing technique i think too many times fans see athletic gifts and confuse that with skills....Lundy dwarfed Beltran in athleticism easily no argument but skills?

Beltran stalked him didnt eat too much in return had some head movement had a body attack and a great left hook, he just at times was caught by big rights

Lundy was easy to hit and his great defense as judah labeled was ducking head first and turning his body side ways and jogging away, his boxing skills werent that great but his athletic abilities are pretty good

Ring Generalship to me is like being the general, as in who dictates how where and when the fight takes place, in other words the guy in control of the action and the pace and where in the ring the action occurs

Judah said Lundy had great ring generalship

i disagree, getting stalked to the ropes getting hit to the body then turning and jogging out of a corner is hardly ring generalship

Beltran typically stalked a retreating Lundy and typically set the pace in the rounds

I dont know maybe my definitions of these 2 jargons is off but just my opinion on what i saw

Skills are tricks of the trade fighters pick up that allow them to be effective offensively and defensively, technique is totally different.

Basically your 'skills' are offense, defense, counter punching ability and punch selection.

Ring Generalship is implementing a gameplan to your benefit/making your opponent fight your fight.

ring generalship is the guy you find yourself watching during the fight.

skill, not many fighters today have it. alot of athletes, alot of fighters, not alot of boxers.

    its gross
