Ring generalship - dictating the pace and style of fight to one that suits your gameplan

    Skills -

offensive skills - putting punches together in single or multiple shots, footwork, headmovment, being on the inside/outside, punch quality ie straigh jabs, lifting back foot to pivot when throwin straights, body movement for hooks, legs for uppercuts

Defensive skills - guard, footwork, stance, hands back up after punch is thrown, headmovment, countering, bad habits including dropping guard after offence

ring generalship is just controlling the fight. if you want the guy to back up you back him up. if you want him to come to you you let him come and counter if you want him in the corner you cut off the ring, if you want him in the center of the ring you stay off the ropes. its all about what you want not what the other guy.

again, 90% of "boxers" today dont have real skill, just athletes. no parrying, slipping, definitely no inside game, etc...
