whats your favorite boxing book?

    Yeah I think they are supposed to be read in succession really, Pollock's books.

    Theres not much about Fitz, its more about the guys that were trying to get to fight Johnson and the stories behind their lives. Its not a "hardcore" boxing book TBH, but still a very good read. For £1 off Amazon whats the worse that can happen??;)

    I fancy his book on Jeffries for that very reason :good

    Aye mate, not like a usual autobiography- he is very honest about his fears and how he over came them etc. It is inspiring.
    I was too young to ever see, or rememeber seeing him fight but he admits he was ****ing pony!:lol: Its a good story of someone overcoming the odds, shows the value of hard work and self belief. I think because I box I could identify with a lot of what he says, but others might read it and not enjoy it like I did.

    I wish Emanuel Steward would write a book. Frank Warren's would write an entretaining one as well, but you'd probably get more truth in one of my daughter's Roal Dahl efforts!
