What's Your Favorite Fight Of All Time?

It was pick one fight not ten.

 

Frazier - Ali III,
Duran-Leonard I,
Foreman-Lyle,
Sanchez, Nelson,
Hagler-Hearns,
Duran- Barkley
Lewis- Vitali Klitschko
Holyfield-Bowe I
Tyson-Douglas (I like wars, regardless of who wins)

Just read where I have to pick one. if that's the case I'm going with Duran-Barkley..that was a masterpiece of boxing by Duran that exceeds anything I've ever seen. With Ali-Frazier, and Duran-Leonard these guys were roughly the same size, but Barkley was huge compared to Duran, yet Duran didn't run, didn't try to stick and jab, no he stayed in the pocket and traded with the bigger guy and used his skill to avoid shots and countered..it's boxing at it's absolute best!!

 

I watched Duran/Moore again the other day, and it was shocking to see how much effect Duran's punches were having. A beat-down of epic proportions which, unfortunately for young Dave Moore, was being officiated by an incompetent fool. The corner were just as much to blame too. Fight should have been stopped long before it was, I'm sure you agree. Not a great fight in my judgment, if only because it was pretty one-sided. A great performance on the part of Duran, though.

I always found Leonard/Duran I to be overrated.

 

If you like wars did you watch Escalante vs Roman recently. Lower weights but very enterntaining

 

Something about Barrera-Morales III makes me **** my pants with happiness

 

Gatti vs Ward & Morales vs Barrera, you can't go wrong watching these sets of fights.

 

Me too. Maybe because it was Marco's greatest ever triumph, but the skill level in that fight was immense I felt. Not one-sided at all, Morales won the second half of the fight pretty comfortably but he was to far behind by that point in my judgment. Amazing round 11, Marco's combination's were working beautifully. I can watch it all day.

 

I do agree, it was a travesty that Duran-Moore went on so long.

I also agree that it wasn't a truly great win/fight, but it's probably my favourite Duran performance. That fight is Duran.

Fair enough on Duran-Leonard 1, different strokes and all that. I firmly believe Barrera-Morales 1 is inferior to Vasquez-Marquez 3, which I'm sure you heartily disagree with too!

 

Corrales vs Castillo 1 is arguably the best fight of all time.

Ye man. HBO commentary was ***** yet again. I would say Im a bigger fan of Barrera than Morales but they definitely gave a few too many rounds to Marco. Twas a jolly close fight.

 

Too many fights for us to name just one. It's like Lay's Potato Chips. "Bet you can't jushave just one."

 

What a pain! Do you put on nappies to watch it?

 

One of the best but the spitting out of the mouthpiece took something away from it for me.
