IE, not an old replay, but either in person or on TV in original broadcast. Lewis v Vit will ALWAYS be my number 1. It would be great if AJ Wlad is half the fight, and inspires half the long term debate, that that bout did.
I recall watching Pacquiao Barrera I live with my dad and his buddies. I was 12 years old and I had seen quite a few boxing fights before, but I remember for some reason during the fight I've never seen my dad or his buddies ever this floored about a boxing fight. They could not believe what was going on. At the time I just a 12 year old and to me it was just another bout with 2 guys bashing each other's head. But then my dad told me "Nobody does this to Barrera, nobody" as him and his buddies were just like WTF? I won't forget watching that fight live.
I really enjoyed DLH vs Vargas Two of my favorite fighters all time in a back and forth fight at a high skille level that ended in a KO.
this was my second favorite fight seeing live and in person. my favorite was chavez-whitaker cause i had better seats than pac-barrera, and i also got to drink a few beers and kick it with aaron pryor.
1.Gatti vs Ward I 2.Rios vs Alvarado I 3.Salido vs Vargas 4.Monty Meza Clay vs Alan Herrera 5.Thurman vs Porter 6.Gatti vs Ward III 7.Rios vs Alvarado II I haven't really caught many of the good ones live. I see great fights all the time but usually on youtube. Kind of makes me question my subscription to HBO.
The most significant? Foreman vs Moorer. I bet a few people on this fight when everyone said Foreman was too old...was he lucky ? Maybe but i'll take a win all the time. The last punch in i think rnd 10? Stunned the boxing world and showed age is not the end all factor. The most memorable..Lewis vs Holyfield simply bc i was in a 10 G pool and was robbed of it bc of a B.S decision of a draw. The best fight? Probably Morrison vs Ruddock . This content is protected
Good call, never been to a fight but I reckon I saw most of Lennox fights, must not of been on PPV as I watched it live. I just presumed it was Wlad but seeing Vitali for the first time just tearing up the place and giving Lennox a real working over was a sight to behold, how good was Lewis though to be able to survive that onslaught and turn it round, some disagree with me about this but I reckon Lennox jab is one of the best in the business. Imagine Wilder been running his mouth off saying he's gonna end up as one of the best ever HWs,mockery or what?
Tyson vs Spinks. It's the "fight" that really hooked me to boxing. I had seen other good, much more competitive fights live before that, but that one made me an instant fan of the sport
Oscar De La Hoya vs Ricardo Mayorga. Scenes. Ricky Hatton vs Kostya Tszyu has to be up there. Had a lot of mates round and all on the Hatton bandwagon. Nothing beats the live experience. I've been to 2 fights live. Frampton vs Martinez (2) and Frampton vs Avalos.
