SMW, because it's full of talent, been blessed with some great fights over the years and they're big guys but still small enough to retain decent speed and flair.
super middleweight, that is the divison i cant take my eyes off, cheers showtime,.welterweight has more great fighters, maragrito , cotto, mayweather, mosley, berto, and with pacman and marquez, now fighting in higher weight classes, this will be the wear the money is , if the fights can be made
Today: Welterweight with Middle-Super-Middle on the horizon. All-Time: Lightweight, great depth with honorable mention going to Heavy (a very underrated division honestly)
Yeah, so many great lighweights, either fighters who made a career there or made an impression there before moving up. I have to say, while I was leaning on WW to be my current favorite, the super-middle tournament is a great great step in the right direction for boxing.
For some reason mine is JNR MIDDLEWEIGHT, FUNNILY ENOUGH FOR THE SAME REASONS AS THE 1ST POSTER NAMED WELTERWEIGHT. I DONT KNO Y REALLY AS THERES NEVER BEEN MUCH DEPTH IN THAT DIVISION
My fav divisions to watch have always changed. In the early-mid 90s it was HW and LWW due to the obvious talent in HW and Trinidad, JCC, Sweet Pea, DLH in LWW. For a time it was even LHW with RJJ's entertaining fights....right now SMW and WW cuz theres just sooo much talent in them.
To me SMW is the perfect size boxers, they have speed, power and technique. You can go down in weight to see more speed and technique, or you can go up in weight to see more power.
I don't really have a favorite, any thing between Cruiser and bantom weight for me. HW are usually boring and below bantom the guys are just too small.
I think most fans relate to their own weight class. Since I'm over 200 lbs I'm a fan of the Heavyweight Division.
