If I heard Lampley correctly during the fight, I think he said this pay per view was on track to do more buys than the PBF-JMM fight. Can someone confirm this, or did Lampley say something else?

I don't have a feel for how many buys this did. I haven't been following the promotion and can't make an educated guess. Lampley's comments just kind of woke me up, or at least what I thought his comments were.

    Your guess = ?

cotto was a much more live opponent than marquez imo so it should be a more well received ppv, maybe mayweather vs pacman can break the ppv record

Lampley said that it looked like it was going to do many more PPV buys, I'm guessing that it will come close to 2 million but not over.

Thanks -- I wanted to make sure I heard that right. I was on the phone when he said it.! :good

Sounds very good. I hope it goes through the roof.

Pac is really becoming a big star in the USA. Good to see, he deserves it.

Just a few weeks ago people thought there was no way this fight would do more buys than PBF-JMM. Looks like that was wrong. And, it's a good sign for boxing overall.

Very good sign because now Mayweather knows that Pac is where the money is and will have to fight him. I can only imagine the numbers that would do.

Exactly what I'm talking about! :good

Now Pac holds all the cards, and Floyd can't play the "I'm the draw" game, or that fighting Pac is bad business, if the numbers come back strong.

It seems almost official now: Floyd needs Pac much more than Pac needs Floyd. Just as it should be.
