Holy carpe diem that’s a solid list! I think Ortiz and Povetkin are interchangeable and Doubois starches Joyce at some point in the near future so he’ll be in that list soon. I’ve seen a bit of the EE dude Hrgovic and he looks the part. Adam is sloppy at times but he’s tough and interesting while Ruiz just isn’t dynamic enough because he lacks the real height and power to make noise in the at the top. Povetkin is always dangerous despite his age however AJ & Wilder would keep him at the end of their jab all night and if it gets into a phone booth battle both AJ and Wilder have the ability to execute a proper uppercut to deter any shenanigans in the pocket. Still the HW division is interesting and with the balding “I look 40 but I’m really not even 30” Tyson F. Coming back we have a strong division.

I’m assuming Tyson Fury but it’s difficult justifying his existence in the HW scene since he’s been out the mix for so darn long. I certainly can’t find the nads to even mention his name until he gets back in the ring.

When you put it like that it looks like the best heavyweight division in nearly a decade

Welp, I rate AJ as No. 50 million ... but he turned the ranking down.

Becasue povetkin has been out for ages, getting old and takam has looked better in his last few fights.

Whyte looks much better now than he did against fury and pulev has been inactive for ages and also getting old.

Joyce beats those below him imo and has a good chance against most of them.

That's how I drew my conclusion

Povetkin has been out for ages? He's fought twice since Takam fought last.

Povetkin is indeed getting old but Takam is only 1 year younger himself at 37. Takam is old in boxing terms.

Takam has looked better in recent fights? He's lost 2 of his last 4 fights and the 2 he won were against journeymen who would be beaten by all of Povetkin's recent opponents.

I can see your point with Whyte, Pulev is past his best unlike Whyte and not had a solid win in 2 years. Had Whyte and Pulev fought I probably would of favoured Whyte as I thought Pulev looked awful vs Johnson.

Joyce maybe beats them "maybe". He could be another Audley Harrison or David Price for all we know, I dislike rating guys based off of potential, anyone can look like a potential top 10 fighter if they are facing over matched opposition. It's only when a guy proves it that it means anything.

    10. Miller

My new top 10 now that Fury has returned. Fury looked OK on his return but I don't think he could beat the top guys on his current form, but he will no doubt improve with each fight.

This is the correct list. Actually, just stop after loma and fury, rest are trash.

Takam did enough against Parker and Joshua to show me he is better than current povetkin.

Povetkin was poor against price. I could knock price out so that was no mean feat and he was extremely lucky he didn't get stopped himself.

As for Joyce, well I think apart from Joshua who I think he would lose against I wouldn't best against him beating any of the top 10. You are right he hasn't proven anything yet. But Joshua hasn't proven he can beat wilderz Ortiz, fury etc but people still rate him higher based on potential. People talk about Joyce like hes a two fight rookie, hes far from that. Whyte hasnt beaten any in the top 10 on my list and Parker has only really beaten h.fury yet most rate those two top 5 based on potential. So to say you can't rank guys based in potential, well how else can you rank them unless everyone has fought everyone. It's just an opinion.
