A LOT. Tens of millions of pounds in the mid 90s was A LOT in mid 90s Britain.

 

What was the most he earned for a fight? His contract with sky might have made him more money than all the money he got for fights on ITV.

 

About £1.25M a fight. ITV figures in excess of 14M regularly

 

Probably because he was digusted at getting robbed and i can't say i blame him.

 

Eubank said recently that the Schommer fight proved he was right in calling boxing a mugs game. ‘He outboxed me for 12 rounds in South Africa, where I had a gigantic following, and punched my teeth down my throat. They gave me the decision because I pulled in the crowds and he didn’t. That’s why boxing’s a mugs game.’

 

Same as when Dave Tiberi was robbed against James Toney.

I’d like to of seen him fight 2-3x a year as a light heavy in his prime though, without the Watson tragedy having ever happened. But the only thing with that is he was more shorter and less rangy than light heavies back then.

He was pretty much punch-perfect when he did his weight right v Rocchigiani and Wharton. And we know he could produce a perfect punch (that uppercut) even if down late and behind.

 

Eubank`s punches had nothing on them v Rochi and he landed very few counters after slipping shots.

 

He was a nut job. That aside, a very good fighter with skill and a chin but didn't fight the best American fighters .. he would not have beaten Toney, Jones, Hopkins or Nunn ..

He wouldn’t of had a problem with Hopkins back then.
