In the aftermath of last night I think the list has been shook up a bit leaving a few alternate credible rankings. I intend to rewatch the fight properly to confirm my initial hypothesis about the result but I had pac losing or drawing. The top 5 should be out of, imo, floyd, jmm, pac, donaire and martinez. If I rewatch it and score in favour of jmm my list looks like this Jmm Floyd Pac Martinez Donaire If I rewatch and score it a draw my list looks like Floyd Pac Jmm Martinez Donaire Finally if I rewatch and score it for pac my list looks like Pac Floyd Martinez Donaire Jmm I realise that putting marquez above floyd might be a bit strange in light of their fight, but that was two years ago now and floyd has never beaten an opponent as good as pac, so if I score it jmm's way i'm totally happy having him number 1 p4p and ww. I look forward to rewatching the fight, but for those who have already made their mind up, what's your top 5 look like now? I'll put a poll in to see who people vote number 1, but lists and reasons would be nice also :good
1. Mayweather (never should have lost his spot for Pac beating his leftovers in the first place) 2. Pacquiao 3. JMM 4. Martinez 5. Donaire/Ward
1. Mayweather 2. Marquez (I've had him winning all 3 fights, had him beating Chris John, so for me he only has 1 defeat this decade) 3. Pacman 4. Donaire 5. Ward/Martinez
Floyd should be number 1, but pac is still ahead of marquez in respect of fighting much bigger guys at higher weights. But marquez totally dominated the p4p number 1 fighter in the world.
imo pac should stay on top. pac-jmm is a fight between tow top p4p even sized fighters so a close fight between them would not pull pac or jmm down. what it will do is put jmm up closer to the top spot.
hmm... mayweather was removed from the P4P list due to inactivity. he then magically re-enters @ #2 by virtue of a sucker punch and now, he's supposed to be #1 P4P??! delusional... :nut
How do you rank the top 5? Btw regarding floyd's reentry, whereever it is, you hit the nail on the head: he was removed due to inactivity, not a decline in skills nor performance. I suspected both had declined but after seeing him knock out ortiz i'm certain that isn't the case. Still, unless I score it a draw he won't be number 1 by my book.
