I can't really change mine. I thought Marquez won that fight, but I believe it was a matter of styles and Pacquaio is still the better p4p fighter of the two. As for Floyd, although he might beat Pacquaio, his long bouts of inactivity and a win against Ortiz just aren't enough

So... Wlad :hey, Pac, Floyd, Marquez

JMM has Pac's number, that doesn't diminish anything he's done past few years. Pac is still #1. This poll is a knee jerk reaction. Watch the poll again in a few weeks, like this after every fight.

I don't think the official result makes a difference to what one witnessed on fight night.

Pac isn't diminished in any way shape nor form, it's more a matter of jmm being elevated imo.

    Same size?!

Marquez is a lightweight and Pacquiao a welterweight!

Unless you mean in the ring, then lets not forget Floyd weighed 149lb a month out from Ortiz, 1lb heavier than Pacquiao weighed yesterday according to Khan.

JMM would never beat PBF, so as long as PBF is active he should be ranked higher if they are fighting in the same weightclass. The only way your theory works is if you are still considering JMM a Lightweight but even still PBF outskilled JMM and did not bully him around the ring.

Before last night I gave PBF a slight edge in a fight between him and Manny but now I see PBF winning comfortably so I would have to make him clear number 1. I am a fan of both PBF and Pac and had a hard time coming to that conclusion

Even though JMM style gives Pac fits, JMM could beat the guys that Pac has beaten over the last few years. So while JMM and Pac may always be close Pac is better p4p.

    my list;

    1)PBF (was co-p4p pre Pac-JMM)
    2) Pac (was Co-P4p)
    3) JMM (strictly because his last performance was better than 4 and 5)
    4) Donaire
    5) Serg

4 and 5 is close but I always prefer the skilled fighter over the more raw talented guy

Jasper, you do make a good point.

I need to rewatch it before giving any concrete decision but I just feel marquez's victories over diaz, kats and pac (depending how I score it) are unsurpassed in the current scene.

I do put as much weight on record. I only use it as a gauge on how they might perform h2h in a mythical match-up.

In my mind if the fighters have fought and you can see a clear edge in skill he would typically be ranked higher. Unless in the case of Pac and JMM where Jmm would struggle at best with most of Pacs opposition.

I have to see the fight again but regardless who won it pretty much firmed up the top three for me because it was pretty close every round even if I pic JMM winning most of those rounds (when i watch it again) right now I had it JMM up by one or a draw. But i am not sure if I had my Pac coloured glasses on

I think a run of performances as good as marquez is unmatched across anyone else in the sport.
