I'm a *******, but there is no way he can keep his #1 after that debacle.
I wouldn't give Marquez too much credit though, Pac is shot, plain and simple.
Wouldn't be surprised if Floyd finally agrees to fight him, but the superdoopermegafight is dead, now everybody knows for a fact that Pac couldn't hang with Floyd anyway.
I'm depressed. All you *****s were right, Pac isn't in Mayweathers league (at least no more) so Floyd should make that fight asap, book the easy UD or late stoppage and go down in history as the greatest fighter of this era.

If you look at it objectively the p4p top 5 list looks like this:

    Sugar Valuev
    Kimbo
    Fury
    A-Force
    McBride

    In exactly this order!!!

:deal Where did you have Marquez before last night? I had him at number 3 behind Floyd and Manny.

I had him number 5 before the fight.

I'll rank him after I rewatch it.

    Pac
    Mayweather
    Marquez
    Donaire
Wladimir, Ward, Bhop or Martinez (4x tie)

In terms of accomplishments, recent accomplishments (2008 to present), and head to head prowess, I would be unable to change spots 1 and 2. For those holding Mayweather in such high esteem simply due to the past or head to head ability, he has not done nearly enough to be ranked so highly today. I choose to put him there, however, as there is across the board agreement on him being there coupled with his h2h prowess. In the last 3 years, though, we must remember that he has done next to nothing, especially compared to Pac (or even Marquez for that matter).

Well yes and no, P4P isn't just about wins the last 2-3 years for 1, it's about losses in that time. JMM as proven last night is slightly better than Pac, beating him 12-0 is therefore better than beating Pac 9-3, although styles and sizes make fights, granted. Ortiz is probably on par with Diaz, Past Prime Mosley is better than Katsidis. But on the flip side Marquez has a 12-0 loss to FMJ and FMJ and JMM were both 150 in their last fights. I suppose it depends if you believe Mayweather only beat Marquez because of size advantages or your think he'd outbox any version at any weight, I'd go with the latter

IF we are comparing Mayweather-Pac - Pac did better against DLH/Hatton (although faced older versions), FMJ did slightly better against Mosley, FMJ beat a fighter who beat Pac (JMM)

Yeah it is but since losing marquez has reestablished his superiority over the lightweights as well as establishing superiority over the best ww in the world.

Beating that marquez, who floyd was expected to beat isn't as good as beating that pac who marquez was not expected to beat.

It's close at the top but in the last 18 months all floyd has done is defeat ortiz. Enough for number 2 but not 1 imo.

Then again it all depends how I score the fight when I watch it again.

Unless you think pac won, a place at number 1 is ridiculous.
