    Prior to UFC101 i had

    1. Fedor
    2. Silva
    3. GSP
    4. Machida
    5. Penn

Was unsure of the top 3, based on GSPs dominance of top fighters, and Fedor's inactivity over the past few years

With Fedor failing to make an agreement with the UFC, he's really out in the wilderness now. Not many in the UFC HW division could have given him problems, it would have been a pretty easy way to shut up his detractors

Cant see how anyone can realistically still have him at the top, when guys like Anderson, Machida and GSP are continually mowing down good - great fighters

Months ago i posted how i felt Anderson would beat the majority of HWs, and give Fedor a lot of problems. I got ripped apart on here for having the audacity to doubt the immortal untouchable Last Emperor and try to imply he could hang with the big boys. Griffin's a huge LH. If anything Anderson was even bigger

So from the regulars who were really abusive to me - particulary boxingcar - i will have a written apology on my desk first thing tomorrow

    1. Anderson
    2. GSP
    3. Machida
    4. Fedor
    5. Penn

    Fedor still top?

    Based on what?

    Just cause he's Fedor?

so lets say Fedor beats his next 3 bums, while the other guys in the Top 5 continue to dominate good to great fighters

Fedor's really shot himself in the foot with this ***** move - and it IS a ***** move - whether its Fedor himself or his management. He denied us all Fedor Couture last year, now it seems he's content to deny us Fedor Lesnar

Meanwhile you got guys like Penn prepared to step up and take on someone like GSP, and GSP thinking of doing the same with Anderson (basically suicide but goes to show the lengths these guys are gonna go to challenge themselves)

Fedor still on top because none of the guys below him are beating good enough fighters to be ranked above him.

Bums? What makes Overeem, Werdum and Rogers any worse than Carwin, Velasquez and 100 year old Coture. Fedor vs Lesnar is the only fight in the UFC that is a better fight than anywhere else.

BJ was fat for GSP, he never tried to get into good shape, thats not truley challenging yourself if you dont give yourself a chance to win by being a lazy ****er.

People always overreact after fighters put on a good performence. Also to rank Machida above Fedor is laughable.

No change in mine I think.

    1. Fedor
    2. GSP
    3. Silva
    4. Torres
    5. Machida

Although I would say that Silva has more or less redeemed himself after the last couple of fights and I wouldn't have a problem ranking him over GSP now. Also BJ could possibly get in there. The problem is gonna be that I can't see any of the top 6 p4p losing any time soon (providing BJ stays at 155).

Machida has shown a lot more than Fedor has in recent times. His level of competition has been a lot higher, his performances far more flawless

And as for Lesnar being the only competitive fight in the UFC, well if he had signed up, not only could we have seen that - the ONLY fight in the HW division everyone really wants to see - but Anderson Fedor could have been arranged too, Fedor Machida too. Lets not forget it wasnt too long ago Fedor took on MIDDLEWEIGHT Matt Linland (who still managed to cut Fedor up)

Who gives a **** about Fedor against Overeem, Werdum and Rogers?

    Meaningless fights

We're gonna have another year where the best fighter in the world is doing **** all to solidify his reputation, and for me, that's just not good enough

    Bias opinion. :p

Silva has fought the same equal caliber opponents as Pierre

Only much more times + fighting out of weight class.

If Silva isn't nr. 1, he sure is nr. 2. Having GSP above him is near laughable. Not only have GSP done **** all in any higher division, he also haven't dominated his own in the manner Silva has. He lost his title to Serra after all. Silva is above him p4p. It isn't even debatable.

Recent times? He beat Evans, Silva and Tito in recent times. Not in a million years enough to be ranked above Fedor.

I never said he was the only competitive fight, rather the only fight that was clearly better than the fights avalible outside of the UFC.

Assuming that there is no cut, Fedor would dominate Silva, he has neutrilised better strikers and Silva is not going to get near doing anything on the ground.

Machida would be a better fight due to the fact he is more elusive. Anderson couldnt run from Fedor, he would get taken down and grounded out.

Meaningless fights, man you are talking about fighters who are top 10 HW's and dismissing them out of hand. Then saying fighting a guy in Silva who is totally unproven at the weight is a better option.

Fedor in the last year has taken on two former UFC HW champions, and it has taken him under 4 minutes to beat them both.

    Fedor
    Machida
    GSP
    Silva
    Penn

Although the man fighting tonight Miguel Torres could easily crack in that list.

That is a ridiculous way to reply to a post.

First of all, I said that Fedor has neurilised better strikers than Silva, and beaten better BJJ fighters and wrestlers. I fail to se how a guy who is naturally smaller than Fedor who has not exhibited great takedown defense and is not as good on the ground is going to give him a stern test. People are just getting carried away.

I didnt say that Evans and Silva wernt better, just not better considering all that they have done in their carriers to have Machida ranked above Fedor. Otherwise there is no consistancy in the rankings.

Fedor did not chose to fight them knowing they would get KO'd in their next fights did he? So how can u have a go at Fedor for not challenging himself. Can he tell the future?
