    1. Fedor
    2. GSP
    3. Silva
    4. Machida
    5. Mike Brown or Penn its a pick em imo.

Although Silva looked great against Forrest, i think we all knew deep down Forrest was made to order.

Also apart from Hendo i think Silva's UFC title defences are pretty mediocre compared to GSP who has beaten the 1# welterweight in Matt Hughes, the number 1# lightweight in BJ Penn, and the number 2# welterweight in Alves.

The only guy who is currently going to give GSP a fight at 170 is Jake Shields.

    Forgot about Fitch:patsch

Also he beat Josh Koshcheck after his loss to Serra, destroyed Serra in the rematch and prior to him becoming champion he beat decent opposition in Nayhem Miller and Denny and hes also beaten Paraysian.

As you say his resume is awesome:good

Another win that is forgotten about is Jay Hieron; Jay was a really good prospect going into that fight. National championship quality wrestler (was the favorite that season but got kicked off the team for smoking weed) and was generally considered pretty close to as good as GSP.

Hieron's career took a bit of a dive after that, so thats why it isn't remembered as much, but now that Hieron has moved himself back up through other organizations; he is one of the best WW's outside of the UFC, it should be reconsidered.

Good list. And good reasoning to have GSP over Silva. People tend to get caught in the moment and forget how awesome GSP resume is. Embarrassing Forrest Griffin is nothing compare to embarrassing BJPenn.

Silva also has 2 wins against franklin who was the best middleweight before silva destroyed him. He has taken on the best middleweight has to offer just like GSP fighting the best welterweight.

Silva has also gone up to 205 and defeated a former champion. GSP has yet to leave his weight class and challenge himself against 185 lbs fighters. OH and one more thing GSP was TKO by Serra while anderson has been undefeated since he joined the UFC.

Thats certainly true, but then Silva is naturally a LHW who sheds like crazy to basically bully smaller men. The man walks around not much lighter than Fedor, yet has been fighting in a division 2 divisions lighter. Its not really fair to compare that with GSP cause GSP hasnt been bullying smaller guys

In fact, for me, this is an often forgotten fact which should weigh (sorry) heavily against him when discussing p4p rankings

Not to mention the previous #2 in Fitch and another top 5 fighter in Koscheck.

Why? If he can make the weight, and he can evidently make it comfortably, what's the problem?

I still have to leave Fedor on top - however that may change after he spends a year fighting scrubs in STRIKEFORCE.

    Fedor
    Anderson Silva
    Lyoto Machida
    Georges St.Pierre
Nick Diaz? (I'm dropping Penn due to his disappointing performance against GSP)

What about Penn's great performance against Florian?

Silva has infact fought at 170 before so he is hardly lhw sized.

    Nick Diaz???? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Your a clown. BJ Penn should be above Machida, the only time he hasn't dominated in the past few years is when he's moved up and taken on Machida, GSP and Hughes! Two of those guys are on your P4P list and much bigger then the guy. He also gave Machida one of his closest fights to date....and hes a LIGHTWEIGHT! Nick Diaz :patsch
