Thought it would be a good idea to see where everyone has come from, and where they see themselves going that are training.

    I'll kick it off...

I'm 20 years old, about 6'1 and around 13 stone (182 pounds) from Scotland. Been very athletic all my life but never had a boxing gym nearby. One has opened up recently and I've been training for around 3 months, however im out for 6 weeks with a broken finger just now.

I've been told I had a lot of potential and once I'm back at boxing, training 3 times a week and also another 3 days weight training each week I'm going to say to my trainer I want to see how I get on at amatuer and take it from there.

I drove past my gym many times on trips to football matches telling myself that I'd walk in there one day. I imagined it as a big scary place where everybody will stop to look at you as u walk in.
After much hesitation , i walked in and loved it ever since
been training for a year now, should get my 1st bout soon

23, been boxing for 6 years 141lbs. Ran Cross country n track for 5 years before that. Played hockey. When i was finishing up with sports at school i figured boxing is almost the only thing i could still do, plus its year round. I tried to sign up in 3rd grade but the momz wouldnt let me, even though my dad and all of my uncles boxed. I had my first 3 fights one month after i walked into the gym, and grew from there. This august will be my second time in KC at the World Championships. I hope to place, and then place again at the GG upper midwest tourny next spring and go pro at 24.. Then hopefully close to 30 i can be in a position to fight for a title. Thats my honest dream.. I realize i'll have haters, but i still like the thought of hearing thousands chant my name. Cant get better than that right?

15 years old, 6 ft, 57 kg. From scotland. Started training 7 months ago for a laugh and do get in shape. Fell in love with it and have my first exhibition fight TONIGHT. Should be registered and in fighting order by September, or so my coach tells me. Been told i have potential by lots of people.

Training 2 or 3 times a week at the gym but i train abs and technique 6 days a week at home. I also run when i can. I will be making a new routine soon.

I'm 5ft6 and 61kg. Last year I had 5 fights and lost them all haha. This year I've taken it more seriously, Had 6 fights and won 3, lost 3 (all to junior champions). I'm only just starting to learn the more indepth technical points, I've been boxing a little over 2 years and most of that I worked on the basics. I have alot of natural punching power, but I've only just started using that in fights properly.

    33yo, 5ft10inch and 88kg.

Played football (soccer) for 27 years but this year decided to take a year off after finding a boxing gym 15mths ago and realising it was time for a fresh challenge mentally, physically and technically.
