I saw his last fight on ESPN and although he did not knock the guy out (it was stopped because the opponent bit him) you could see the sick power the guy possesses. Sometimes you only need to see the power in their shots to know how hard they actually hit, and he is one of those guys imo. He is a better counter puncher than people give him credit for to. He is no Kendal Holt,JMM, but he is not just a fighter with power.
He's got good defensive skills, but he's wild on offense. Leaves himself open to a counter to his uppercut, can throw his hook a little wide, gets overexcited at times when he thinks he has someone in trouble.
did you watch the abril fight before he fought khan, he wasnt that impressive at all, and how is he a good defensive boxer if he leaves himself open? dont you mean he is a good pressure fight with a certain lack of defensive skills, i still aint made up my mind on him should really start trying to get the fight with john murry again
I didn't see that fight, I'm mostly going by the Toledo fight where Prescott fought more cautiously after the first round because Toledo was fouling him like crazy. He spent the whole night frustrating Toledo and making him miss. However, he was opening himself up to counters when he swung, Toledo just wasn't fast/good enough to take advantage. Here, you can take a look at the first part of the fight, the whole thing is on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP9i7B_77b0 By comparison, here's a middle portion. In particular check out little sequence from about 4:00 to 4:07: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDEeCKTnCwQ
