You really don't need to take it away from thread topic just to try and make a point. I stated that an eliminator was BS, however that was not a point I originally made. You was wrong as you stated he didn't fight an eliminator, however he did. FACT. He fought an eliminator and won clearly, therefore establishing himself as a top ranked contender with the WBC, again not my opinion, merely a fact. Therefore I would see that ranking as higher, in terms of levels, than a British title victory. :hi:

ok if you say so but im a bit mroe traditional in what my opinion of an eliminator is , and since fury actually fought 2 wbc eliminators and they moved him down in ranking no respect what so ever for 'wbc eliminators'

Doesn't matter, as I have said before I didn't state the creditability of an eliminator just the fact that was officially an eliminator for the WBC. I have also said I don't agree with them and they are a fancy title to drum up more interest, however I was 100% correct in what I said, simple. :hi:

Nah tbh.... cal smith IS ABOVE DOMESTIC LEVEL.. Regardless of the eliminator (it was an eliminator - not a final eliminator but one non the less)

Back to original point , levels are determined by those around at same weight yes? At SMW we have

    Froch
    Degale
    Groves
    P smith
    C smith
    Fielding
All above domestic level - ability wise,
    Then
    Blackledge
    Buglioni & so on...
Just because a fighter has not contested the Lonsdale belt doesn't mean he's not at/above that level - let's not forget until this week Paul smith was mandated to fight rocky fielding , are we saying that Paul is still domestic then ? As he was ordered to fight of course.
