McKinney/Barrera was an instant classic and unless I'm mistaken it was the first ever Boxing After Dark show. I love Roy JOnes commentary on that fight.

Some of my favorites are early Roy Jones fights. Everyone thought Roy was soft, too cute, whatever, and they'd always try to get into his head.

My favorite is Thomas Tate (Roy's last and best performance at 160), but against a roided out Vinny Paz also is a good show.

This is more a UFC phenomena. Everyone is breaking everyone's jaw if you watch every UFC countdown. Boxers tend to have more respect for the fight game and how difficult it is.

    A few exceptions of course.

One that stands out is Mayorga vs De La Hoya, where he said he was going to stop Oscar's heart and detach one of retinas and promptly got his ass handed to him in the fight, almost being decapitated by one of the most vicious left hook's ever seen.
