Who would blame him considering Murray's "I am not scared of you" mantra and the boorish British fans acting like hooligans. Golovkin really wanted this stoppage. He let Murray throw at him in the 10th with several combos so he could get a chance to counter and it worked out. So refreshing to see a fighter constantly work for the stoppage and never coast.
You ever think that just maybe he didn't want to answer that question? Go back and check the look on Abel Sanchez face when Kellerman is asking the question. GGG isn't going to slap the mic out of Kellerman's hand or fire up a Marlboro Red. Not the first time he f*cked off one of Kellerman's dumb questions though.
I have a feeling he'll learn Spanish first....since chavez jr's going to **** him and make him his son !!!
Of course he is. You're apparently not familiar with Freddy. Junior couldn't KO Vera but he'll make Golovkin his fukkin son. Ooooh yeah.
Are you kidding me? Golovkin's hilarious grasp of the English language is one of his finest qualities.
Kellerman fails ring interviews. Why would he even ask those questions anyhow? Frankly its insulting to Murray. Objectively speaking, a corner or ref should in fact step in at the proper time. But it certainly is not the opponent's job to concern himself with that. Kellerman asked is Golovkin thought about asking the referee to stop it. Think about that for a second. That is not a language barrier issue. What fighter on the planet would be able to process that question after an 11 round fight? I mean really? I mean seriously think about the depths of stupidity required to even ask something like that and what that would entail. "Hey ref, I think my opponent has had enough. Please give me the win now" Really? Fking really? Fighter's job , and best way to respect the opponent is by doing your best to win the fight. The job of stopping the fight is rightly delegated to the ref, ring physicians, and the corner of the other fighter. People need to get a grip. Language barrier my butt, Kellerman asked something so utterly ridiculous and stupid noone would be able to believe what they were hearing. Obviously the assumption of someone whose 4th or 5th language is English is going to be that they MUST have heard wrong.
He didn't fully understand the question.:rofl As another poster said, Kellerman is often too longwinded with his questions. I don't think GGG was deflecting. His answer was along the lines of this is just box. As if Murray's health was never in danger. GGG is NOT a socio-path, and understands the severity of long term damage resulting from the sport. He was surely worried for Murray at some point. He said that Murrays power was depleting, that he wasn't feeling the power from Murray after about the 4th or so, so obviously that's why he was inviting him to exchange. The question remains unanswered, but not b/c GGG didnt respect the interviewer or was deflecting, but rather b/c he misunderstood the question b/c the way it was worded. It's time like that when his trainer should answer on his behalf or ask one of his teammates to phrase the question in his native tongue.
Vitali Klitschko has often looked to the ref to step in. As have MANY other fighters who were dealing out serious beatdowns. NO, it's not UP TO the fighter to ask the ref for a potential intervention, and no it's NOT an insult to the opponent for considering the request.:-(
Most probably. Boxers are not supposed to be woried about their opponents health. If they were, they wouldn't repeatedly punch them and try to knock them out. "No, I come to fight" is the right answer to that question.
