It would be a good fight but I do not think it is on the cards. He has said he has three fights left at most...his two mandos that are due and either Wilder or Fury, if he has a change of heart.

Then again, I think Zhang is a third mando, so maybe...

Zhang is the current WBO mandatory, although he has to beat Joyce again to really solidify that status, which I think he'll do. If it comes down to him or Wilder though, Usyk would probably pick Wilder since that's likely the more lucrative fight and a bigger name to go out on, but I'm hopeful I'll get to see my two current favorite heavyweights face off. Even if they don't, I guess the bright side is at least Zhang would immediately become champion upon Usyk vacating, thanks to holding the interim belt. Not the most glamorous way to become champion, but it ain't like he'll be the only one that's had that happen

I'm actually kinda curious if they could get a deal done with Wilder. The way he's been acting with Ruiz kinda makes me think it'd be a repeat of the undisputed negotiations, especially if his fight with AJ happens. The prospect of being a champion again might not mean much after that pay day. Then again, it could be what makes him more willing to take a smaller percentage. Kinda cynical about the odds that second one would be the reaction, but I reckon all we can do right now is wait and see.

Usyk is a tool of propaganda. He will do as his masters told him to do.
