But a huge majority of fans are gonna change their tune if Belfort or Rogers beat him though.

That's the thing with fedor's case....He's a very special one.
On one hand , you got a group who cannot wait to see him lose & label him as overrated , on the other , you have the deluded fans who think he's an invincible russian cyborg.

No matter what happens in the rest of emelianenko's career....win or lose , the guy undeniably , already has the most impressive career in the entire sport.

But i get the feeling that no one is gonna forgive him if he loses his next fight....even if he keeps on winning for years to come...tons of "fans" are patiently gonna wait for "the" loss...that everybody has been waiting for since 2001...

People can easily forget the blemishes on Penn's record...Or Couture's , Or GSP's....But it's not gonna work with fedor. Especially because he's not fighting in the UFC.

Dana white would be the first one to celebrate...

When GSP lost to Serra...it was a shock , but it happened in the ufc.

Fedor losing at affliction would be catastrophic...

I don't know about that. I don't know that White cares any about Fedor losing. I believe White wants the legitimacy Fedor brings to the title. White just doesn't want Fedor to defeat the UFC champ and leave the organization.

Mostly to Fedor's strength at the negotiating table with the UFC. With 6 years atop the sport, I think his legacy will remain in tact.

Absolutely. MANY people have been itching to say "TOLD YOU SO" for a VERY long time. Dana White most of all. It will be a burden off of his shoulders and this point he can say "he lost to Belford/Rogers, he can't handle anyone in UFC".

    You guys suck.

I get so tired of stupid threads getting tons of play, that I wanted to make one for myself. The first few responses made me think I went way overboard. Then I thought you guys would take me several pages in.

I'm upset that I can't get 7 or more pages in, like a thread quoting a 5 year old article concerning Brock Lesnar's view of homosexuals did recently. No one mentioned the article was from 2004. Maybe Lesnar has changed. Maybe he's still afraid someone will question his manhood if someone holds his hand a second too long in a handshake. Who the **** cares? I want to see Lesnar fight. I could give less than a **** about his view of homosexuals.

Am I supposed to care about Lesnar's view on health care? Maybe I should give a **** about his opinion on beefing up things in Afghanistan. Wait, let me guess, Lesnar has the answer to paying off the national deficit.

**** what Brock Lesnar has to say, unless it concerns who he is fighting in an mma event.
